in every stage, there is a secret way. in the secret way, you will fight dark zero, when you win, you can get him back and play as him

The easiest way is in Infinity Mijinion's stage. When you kill the huge robot the second time, you can take a path going up or going down. Go up and you will reach Zero's lair so to speak. It isn't really him, just a copy created by Gate, he has the same moves as when you fought him in MMX5. He's positively evil though =P

there r some new moves though, the rapid huge z-buster swarm shot and the huge saber shot and dashing to u and slash u dealing fairly high damage

Actually the dash/slash is the only new move. If you fight him for long enough in X5 he will use every single move. The game is glitched so he will use a move depending on your distance from him in X5, so most people don't make the AI trigger using the swarm shot or the big slice.

@vincent7736 The easiest way is to go to the Weapon Center, where Infinity Mijinion is the boss. Destroy both power cables to disable Lumina, when you do Lumina will reveal a blue portal. Jump in, complete the stage inside that portal, and then you fight Nightmare Zero. Just set Rapid Fire to ON and hold Z Saber attack button and tap the Dash Button. You'll mow Nightmare Zero down fair enough and unlock Zero.

I mean, the whole level is filled ENTIRELY with SPIKES. Without Shadow Armor the level becomes near impossible.

lol I beat first stage, then go to infinity mijinion's stage, get Zero then finish the rest of the game as Zero. It's harder than using X for a couple stages because of the lack of good ranged attacks, but the dragonfly boss's weapon balances that out. Zero just takes more skill to use, but once you figure out the command for all of his moves (even the energy ones have a command) you're fine. After playing MMX4, spikes are nothing to ya
