Hey Caesar, I'm a fan of this guy since I was in high school and I'm also a bit of a guitarist myself. This is how he's playing the F#maj7 chord. Thumb on bottom E string at the second fret. Mute the A string. The tab for the rest of the chord is 3321. Hope that helps. Bryan.
