PATHANAY KHAN WAS THE FAVORITE SINGER OF Z.A BHUTTO AND DR. A Q KHAN OF PAKISTAN. HE IS NOT FOR TEENS OR LAY MAN. HE IS THE CLASS SINGER FOR CLASS PEOPLE.

When I heard Pathanay Khan for the first time I could not sleep, I kept on playing him over & over again. Carver+Ambar+ElectroVoice speakers blew me away. When I went to purchase my second stereo system. I had to play P. Khan to test the system. Only Boston acoustics won this time, there will be no other Khan. No Pakistani/Bharati singer comes even a close second. I do not speak Seraiki. He will always live deep in my heart. I was told he is not a Pak favorite; no wonder Pak is what it is.

The sincerity in the voice of Pathanay Khan is really amazing. He is another person whose genius we never realized nor appreciated. There certainly are/were a lot of those in this country[ pakistan] :(((

All his life, he sung only the classic poetry of the sufis like Khwaja Ghulam Farid, Shah Hussain, Bulle Shah and Sultan Bahu.Khans reverence for khawaja Ghulam Farid was absolute. Khawaja Farid was everything for him and he derived all his spiritual strength from him. I have rarely seen a singer who can understand and render poetry as good as Pathanay Khan rendered Khawajas for the audience..............

Although Pathana Khan was born, brought up and lived in Pakistan, it will not be fair to call him a Pakistani singer. He belongs to everyone who loves Sufi poetry.................

There are many self-styled darvesh but Pathana Khan was a true exemplar of the type.
