you can also make a hdr photo with just one exposure and then make another 2 exposures in photoshop to combine them. there is little to no difference in the pictures, but your camera will feel the difference.
I love Jose Gonzelez man...great stuff. I think this one's called "Slow Moves" ...also "Deadweight on Velveteen" "Hints" and "Lovestain" are great. BTW nice vid Jay!!
omg... time lapse photography is long already, and you had the patience to do it in HDR as well? goddamn! how many photos did this take and how long did it take to process in total?
Man, this is awesome!! So let me get this straight.. You took several pictures for each frame (across multiple exposure times) and combined them doing the HDR, then took your HDR sequences and made a time lapse? That must have taken forever! Can you offer any tips to aspiring time lapsers?
that's correct except this is only using 3 bracketed exposures and batch processed in photomatix (so it's not that tough, but does take hours worth of rendering time) feel free to PM me with questions! ;-)
Do you use After Effects and composite the two? ie., use bracketing and then set your frames to 999x2. I assume you're using a Nikon, and that's what I'm imagining the setup would be.... never tried it, but I will now!

You still have to cope with the limited dynamic range of the camera. There's a lot of difference to be had.

What are the settings you use on the d200? auto iso etc?

most of the time I'm shooting manual (including pre wb) at 100 iso.
