The spirit part of you is dead, so you can't understand about faith and God. The ways of God are far above man's ways so being spiritually dead you think just what you think now. Generally people become born again because they quit rebelling against God, get on their knees, and earnestly ask him forgiveness and redemption. That's what I did, by the Grace of God. It's free, and better than any drug or sex I've ever had. (Even better than drugs and sex combined, along with a lot of money in my pocket.)

I tend to agree, however there many forms of Christianity. Everything from people who don't feel they need a church but see Jesus as a role model to lead a better life by living by some of his ideas (like only treat others the way you would want to be treated) to Catholic and its reformed churches, to fundamentalist who take every word of the bible literally. So, the terms Christian and Born Again are not synonymous, and criticisms that apply to one may not apply to the other.
