this is Philly-I was there (I see myself a bunch of times),our band may have played this show. I don't know what these punk/skinhead authorities are talking about. The east coast and national scene was great at the time.Sab,Chris ,Paul, Dante ...awesome people. The common theme - we were all nuts.As were the times.
kind of a fine line back then, skinheads didn't have the political crap and organization right wing bullshit that exists now. To me Iron Cross was a punk band, I doubt any of them joined the military or could handle the military. Could be wrong, but just the same, they are a great band and I'm anti-nazi. People had long poofy hair back then, so they were outcasts like other "punks" or whatever
@mijdrecht69 The punk scene started in DC first. Sab got along well with the punk bands. They would jam together and go to each other's concerts. Later on Sab shaved his head and became more a part of the skinhead scene. The punks supported the skinheads, but the skinheads started to distance themselves from the punks. There were some hard feelings between the two groups.
@mijdrecht69 The punks were older and they were into girls and drugs. The skinheads especially when Henry Rollins started gaining influence took a stand against the punks. Some of the skinhead groups hated girls and they definately were anti-drugs. Sab was liked by both groups
@mijdrecht69 As you see in this video, he originally had long spiked hair and a Sid Viciuos kind of look. He was not long out of high school in this video. The skinhead influence came a bit later. He had a really cool ferret for a pet.
How sick is this???? YEAH!!!!
