The VY Clubbies looked wicked, so menacing, slim and smooth and u knew by looking at it that it was fast. Now they are chubby, over dressed with just bits everywhere! Its like a 10 year old designed it and wasnt allowed to put guns allover it so instead went for vents and buffed out body kits

ok let me just say i would rather drive a ford, but the hsv have always looked very nice to. but on this one the dropped the ball, the e2 is bloody ugly. seen one at the shops the other day. my mate owns a 08 ve gts and looks very nice, but these things look like shit. just another opinion.

Yeh I agree totally with everything you said. It's like they've taken a step back into the days when it appeared that HSV used to just slap on bodykits, wings, grills, flaps and all the other sort onto a base commodore. The E1 was properly designed and styled and looked good. All they should've done to change from the E1 would be to remove the inserts underneath the headlights at the front. There's no doubt they've made the car mechanically better but they've just fucked up they way it looks.

I don't think the VF is even on the pipline. Or at least is on hold until further notice giving what's happening in GM. Holden will keep updating the VE until further notice I think, eg SIDI V6 engines and Trans upgrades.Time to upgrade the V8s to 300+kws I think but leave the looks at is it, that front spliter they're fitting for the utes looks great, i think small but effective changes are better than what HSV has done for E2. I seriously want to bash that designer.

The "VF" does not exist. They were going to release the SIDI motor with a minor facelift and call it a VF but decided its a waste of money to design a facelift and launch a new model everytime you have new technology to offer. Instead, the MY10 VE was released with the new mechanical package

Yeah, I think minor improvement doesn't hurt as long as they don't do what HSV did.What they need is something to counter FG's interior, which to me is better. I still wonder if they're going to upgrade the Gen 4 V8, 270KW is too low. I wonder if the SIDI has VVT or not.

The sidi has variable camshaft phasing where the phasing of the inlet and exhaust cams are independent of eachother. They also have variable valve lift which is controlled by oil pressure in the SHLA

Why is it that in the past woth all series 2 and 3 holdens.. the only things that are changed are purely mechanical and the drive train.. and very little cosmetic changes.. which would only affect the interior.. with this thing they have gone way too far. it looks shithouse. its great they finally implemented Launch control into one of their cars.. but to make it look like that? is a huge let down.. i just hope you are able to interchange the bumpers to make it look like the original e series

Those E2 cars look like shit. I'm a huge Holden/HSV fan&what a massive disappointment this is. The E1 cars are not perfect but are quite stylish and aggressive, the E2 design is made out of bits and pieces from other cars and bolted togther. The front is the worst, is got Audi LEDs, FPV mouth, BMW grill, G8 scoops, I mean WHO THE FUCK design the thing? I bet is that cunt that won HSV's design competition. Fuck i better stick to the VE Commodore, at least I won't feel embarrassed driving out
