Sad to say I'm old enough to have watched this when it was broadcast - if I remember right the first LP had been released a while before this, at least the Imperial single had been, I remember thinking the singing was pretty shite but still absolutely loving it. I think Bobby did an interview "anything can be psychedelic".
I loved 'em, Primal Scream, went to see them a few times, they were dying a big death though before Loaded. Good on 'em I say. Gillespie was always on it
@jamierourketen Nah, they're scottish. But they were big in the Hacienda in the day, and connected with the whole Madchester and early rave scene which came along in the wake of the Merseypudlian tree people like Flock of Seagulls, OMD, Teardrop Explodes, Aztec Camera, Frankie, Echo and the Bunnymen and so on...
@Folkmill ...oh, apart from Mani who joined when The Stone Roses went their separate ways--that in itself is a shame as I really do get both what Ian Brown has done solo in tracks like F.E.A.R. and what John Squire has gone onto with The Seahorses...perhaps even more than I like some of the original Roses stuff. But still, it seems a shame stuff like Gorki's Zygotic Mynci don't even get a look-in on the related videos...pop is perhaps going that base further than eating its own minge...
Saw them do this live at the St Valentines day massacre gig in london 10 years ago. They rocked it up a bit but its still a great song -well underated.
I got involved with big beattie after this as a vocalist back in'88
Neither of us imagined the amazing journey these guys would have afterwards.....Bobby and Dungo I salute you
This is still my favourite seam song especially Neil Conti's drums on the single.

Thanks so much for this nugget of pure gold. I feel soooo old now. Remember seeing them support Julian Cope in Bristol about 22 years ago.

Does anyone know how I can get Bobby's hairstyle? That's some cool hair.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
That awful vocalist still hasn`t got any better after all these years, one of the worst voices of all time.

I used to have this on video but taped over it. Great song, great guitar line, bloody awful singing :)
Had the Soup Dragons from the same programme, can't remember what it was called.
