Humans naturally apply Bayes theorem to movement, without even consciously thinking about it. Search youtube for "Daniel Wolpert: The real reason for brains"
IGNORE IF YOU DON'T WONT TO RISK GETTING CONFUSED. Thanks it's nice to have someone with a bit more enthusiasm and humor than most in this field! one thing that's confused me a bit, if the probability of someone being a hipster is dependent on where you are then surely that means that in itself is another P(H|D) rather than just P(H), but then I guess any P is given some data, even just the probability of being a hipster given that you exist?
Either you live near McCarrin Park, or you study Williamsburg far too much.
Great video! Thanks for the tutorial. See you at The Levy.

If I made fun of hipsters before it was cool to make fun of hipsters, does that make me a hipster?

First time I've understood how Bayes Theorem works. Thanks! Have you investigated how it was applied to the sinking of the SSN "Scorpion"?
Are you a math major or probability major?

"you're combining prior knowledge, with current data to make an estimate of how the world is.... that's the power of Bayes". Nice summation I think.
Like the Hipster, learnt a new word too as well as some Bayes!
