  • at the end i heard crickets... do you feed him crickets or mice

  • That sucks balls

  • lol i like the video but 2 bad things 1. way to much bedding and 2. that tank is Farley big for that snake but good vids. check out my channel plz good vids to come.

  • @CornSnakeKeepers12 How can this tank be too big ? I think it's not even BIG ENOUGH !

I don't want to abuse you but there is at least nothing in that tank. The snake can just turn around and see everything. This corn snakes want to climb, for example. Maybe I have another opionion how to keep corn snakes but shouldn't the tank be similar to nature AND easy to clean at once ? I keep my snakes ( 25") in a much bigger tank. 120 x 70 x 80 cm. check out my channel to see the video with the tank.

  • Or not

  • Go nuts on bedding

  • Should not use a heat bulb*

  • Your snake is also a butters colour and has a shit name.

  • You should use a 'heat bulb' - which by the way is just a light bulb, because your snake will loose the small proportion of the vision snakes actualy have by staring at it, they are nocturnal so don't need a lamp of any kind, you should use a heat mat. They also need a climbing spot, despite what people say corn snakes do infact like to climb and it gives them something to do, other than sitting in a hide for extended periods of time and developing scale rot.

  • Fuck me kid, you know nothing about snakes and set ups. Your using to much substrate and the wrong kind, that type tends to be dusty so they can inhale a lot of the dust and fall ill. When feeding, if you dont move him to a seperate container for it, he's more than likely going to eat some of the bedding, which could lead to him falling ill also.

  • I have the exact same water bowl!

  • where does your snake climb on??

  • anyone know if a heating pad or heat light is better?

  • Nice setup! :) You should also put some branches in it.

  • my corn snake needs a huge water bowl because he drinks like crazy

  • whats the bedding called

  • @skaterboi4peace

    Aspen chips

  • Anery corn snake?

  • Is a heat pad necessary

  • @Zaper692 yes

  • @reptisafety thanks

  • @Zaper692 use a heat lamp cuz heatpa isnt all that great and is like $27 so go with lamp

  • i thought it was viveriam

  • @AnDyxiiPr3dAtOr a vivarium is wooden with one glass side for entry and viewing a terrerium is glass with a locking lid and a flexarium is nylon weave mesh for having pets out in the garden in summer..hope this helped :)

  • what other things can u use for bedding

  • @IxLAWRENCExI repti carpet i use but you can also use beach wood chips, spagnhum moss (not realy reccomended for snakes) bark chippings, sand, ground walnut shells, coconut fibre, eco earth...the list is endless but i reccomend researching the snakes natural environment and trying to get as close to that as possible so for a corn aspen is the closest thing to natural habitat :)

  • 3:48!!

  • @2010kringle my sister is allergic to all our pets so I told my mom that my sister wouldn't be allergic to a snake and I'm getting one tomorrow c: Also, snakes are quiet, feeding is needed once a week, and they dont stink.

  • ya but i am ganna get a corn snake but all i need to do is convince my parrents to let me get one any suggestions

  • I hate that shit for snakes. I used some kind of plant soil or dirt from petsmart. I think wood type grounding is better for rodents.

  • @101HeyNow aspen and the like is sterile, with no risk of mites etc

  • I'm just getting ready to reconfigure my kingsnake's tank with a Sonoran desert theme. I'm looking at some artificial flora, cacti and rocks. Exo-terra has some really good decor items. I'm also looking at craft stores for artificial flora and bushes that are native to Sonora and southern Arizona.

  • you should use reptibark, its more like there natural habitat and it looks nicer than aspen. I use it for all 6 of my snakes, and my breeder mice.

  • you shouldnt have a glass vivarium snakes don't see glass as a barrier so they are more nervy than if in a wooden one

  • How old is the snake?

  • dude that tank is sweet

  • Hey you know you should never bath/ bathe your cornsnake... I don't actually know why but thats what the experts say :) anyways nice setup

  • @SuperReptile100 snakes bathe themselves. 0.0

  • @DISYICE yeah thats why you should leave them to it... I think its pretty stupid also but besides that keep going

  • @SuperReptile100 thats a load of crap...bathing your corn helps them absorb moisture and aids shedding what do you think your snake is doing when it sits in its water dish you moron??? its bathing they do it naturaly so whats the harm in helping raise the temp of the water so its comfortable u idiot?

  • @TheReptileking011 alright no need to get angry Im just doing what ive been told by experts and my corns doing fine shedding I didnt want anyone to take it personally like you obviously had :/ and them sitting in there water dish helps absorb moisture aswell, I dont care what you do its not my corn

  • @TheReptileking011 oh and also reptiles have all been brought up in different ways over the years and all are just as effective as long as your corn is healthy and happy thats fine :) just think about the snakes

  • @chickenzrck NOOOOO!! Corns never eat crickets! They eat mice their whole life lol. U give them baby mice (pinkies) when they are babies are adult mice when they are young. You can buy them frozen from reptile shops and defrost them for 30mins in warm/hot water. Dont defrost on heat mats, u could cook the mouse! Which is baaaad!

  • Spit on the suction cup like a man!!

  • use a humidity box for shedding

  • why the fuck did u flatin the aspen DUMBASS!

  • about how often should i clean out his terrarioum?

  • @ZooTRETURNS once a month.

  • @ chickenzrck

They eat mice all there life, starting on pinkys and working on to bigger mice, the crickets will be for lizards or something :)

  • I take it that they eat crickets when young because I heard crickets in the background. but what do they eat when older?

  • man thanks you helped me a lot

  • how many gallons is it

  • @fishingman636 Neat tank and snake. His sheds will be easier if you give him a bowl big enough to soak in tho. I also put another, smaller water container towards the warm end of some of my tanks, to give off more humidity. Just a few suggestions.

  • @ronaldomanusox who said its bleached. Its not my fault thats my hair color

  • @ronaldomanusox lol @ you

    Trollhard

    1/10

  • @briangore1990 your gay if you think that funny

  • @ronaldomanusox dude stop being a anole hole shut your mouth and insult yourself it would make more sence

  • Hey um so I really want to get a baby corn snake and I already picked one out but I don't know how to convince her! Anything that I can tell her that might change her mind? And by the way very informative :)

  • @626MarilynManson convince who? xD

  • @Dthe3d my mom...O.o

  • @626MarilynManson Tell her it's an easy to care for animal and you absolutely promise to not let her end up taking care of it. Practically begging helps too and you can always offer to partially finance the whole deal or if you're really desperate, tell her you're going to quit school and become a hobo if she doesn't agree.

  • @626MarilynManson tell her they're low maintenence and cost little

  • @626MarilynManson tell her that they are easy to care for all you need is bedding two hide aways heat bulb uv light heat mat and habistat thermostat and the snake

i didnt have to convince my mum ohh and show her the videos

  • @626MarilynManson they only need a 10 gallon if thats all you have

  • @626MarilynManson That and my gf didn't want ours till she held the little guy at the store, then she realized that the corn snakes aren't bad.

  • @626MarilynManson my mom did not want me to get one but tell her that it is small and it stays small and thene when it get big if she want to get rid of it make it eat her xD

  • way to much bedding

  • Thanks this help

  • good setup.horrible name.

  • @ox455 it's his cornsnake, therefore, he names it what he wants.

just like you'll probably name your cornsnake some horrible name. :)

  • @briangore1990 as you clearly see i wrote that along time ago. so shut the fuck up titty twister i can say what i want.

  • How much did it take to completely set that up?

  • @warriorhero52 I think about $150 maybe

  • @TheRandomReptile Thanks

  • my corn snake does nothing but burrow he doesnt use his hides i just got him yesterday is it because he's getting used to the cage or what?

  • @mfkill5sk8 Probably. Also if he is a baby they just hide anyway. Julius Augustus hid all the time when he was little

  • the sawdust shouln t be that deep incase the snake hides because i ve got a albino corn snake

  • @oasis1gaffer Its aspen, and corn snakes burrow. Its not bad if they hide

  • i hav a corn snake plz watch my vid called jewel the snake

  • i hav a corn snake plz watch my vid called jewel the snake

  • thats a good video ive got a corn snake called jewel plz watch my video on her its called jewel the corn snake

  • That's not a terrarium it's a tank. Which is bad because a snake will feel threatened when a hence hand is coming to grab him from above. But hey, I'm just book trained.

  • Great vid thank you =)

  • how old is julius?

  • @vaglova3 now he is 2 1/2. then he was about 1

  • Is that a 20, long

  • @TheChadharrell yeah

  • can u make 1 on garters

  • @Lifeisthemovie I don't know much about garters. sorry

  • paper with ink but i dont use it anymore i use bark

  • @repboy100 ok that's good

  • cool

  • is paper good or bad

  • @repboy100 what kind of paper is it?

  • bad

  • I use shredded paper for my normal cornsnake. I'm getting a albino and snow for my birthday. What gallon should I use.Ther're about 15 inches long.

  • @repboy100 You could get a 10gal but they wouldn't last long in it. I'd just get a 20gal

  • How long can you keep one in a five gallon

  • @Airsoftkid841 Probably until they're about 15 inches

  • aspen bedding causes respritory problems you shouldnt use it

  • @fleebinflarbin thats only if you keep it to damp

  • @fleebinflarbin As long as the cage is not misted (for corns it should not be anyway) and no water from the water bowl is spilt on it its one of the best things to use. If not soaked with water it is dry and light so it allows them to burrow and is soft on their bellies. Mine and all the snakes i work with in a reptile shop on it are perfectly healthy and happy.

  • @XxKittyxXxCatxX it has oils in it you should use Cyprus bedding

  • @XxKittyxXxCatxX whatever i just use sani chips

  • what kind of corn snake is that

  • @darkgraff17 anerytheristic

  • which morph is he ?

  • @tixon434 anerytheristic

  • Fuck you are gay give somebody a blowjob

    Stuped ass blond cocksucking quer

  • @TheDogybone Dude, you have to much time on your hands if all you can think of doing is insulting people on youtube. Why dont you give somebody a blow job?

  • I thought that they need something to climb on. I read that they are semi-arboreal.

  • @picatsoforfma You can if you want to. Its really your choice

  • i would like to ask how many gallons is that and is 10 gallons big enough for a corn that size?!

    plz reply

    =-)

  • @maxyblack0 Its a 2o gallon. You should have them in one when they're about 2 feet

  • Good video, this helped a lot

  • good for rats, bad for snakes...

  • @picball39 How could it be good for rats

  • @TheRandomReptile sorry but in my view it looks like a rat cage, the material you used, the size and so on, just give her more to climb and chill on ;) I had two corn snakes in a 1meter x 1meter x 1meter tank and they used it full and they climbed a lot. Also I bredded them a lot.

    greets from germany

  • @picball39 oh well this is good for corns. He doesn't usually climb so I never put anything in. Also I don't have that much room

  • @picball39 Very bad for rats. They need to be kept in pairs or groups and each rat needs 2 square feet each and lots of climbing platforms. And rats should never be kept in a tank since they need the ventilation of wire cages and the climbing space.

  • isnt aspen toxic?

  • @sesipe02 no, but to make sure I get specialty snake bedding

  • @sesipe02 No

  • I JUST GOT A FEMALE CORN, SHE IS NIPPY

  • @yungking216 With daily handling she'll mellow out

  • very poor... cornsnakes need a possibility to climb....

  • corn snakes dont climb that much, ive never seen any of mine use there branches.

  • @LevelD1985 corn snakes are a terrestrial species of snake. They don't usually climb.
