Yes very good, I've seen this type of dry wall system come and go over the years. To be honest though, I think its easier and quicker to have the joints scrimmed and skimmed over with Carlite finish plaster. It still maintains the specified fire rating that "paper tape and mudding" has.
we americans are not afraid of your metric system. the rest of the world prefer it because it is easy. although some american companies do still use it.
well, differents measures unit the principles r the same though , about the framing to hold the drywalls, metal r mostly for comecials & wood for residencial....
Nos EUA as placas são instaladas na horizontal e aqui na vertical. Pq essa diferença? Existe mais alguma diferença no produto e na sua instalação? Qual a diferença de custo entre a alvenaria comum?
Watch out! Since January 2009, Knauf drywall imported from China during the building boom in the mid-2000s and used in Southwest Florida is being implicated in outgassing problems that destroy copper wiring, copper water pipes and A/C tubing. Health problems unknown.
Indications: * Strong sulfur or rotten egg smell * Corroded or blackened copper coils in air conditioner * KNAUF stamped on the back (check in attic or other accessible place) * Thinner and lighter than typical drywall
I have no idea what these guys are talking about but just watching them is actually incredibly helpful and informative. Question though, what are the metal things they are using to attach the drywall too? I thought you only hung drywall on wood, BUT then again i'm like, a complete novice, haha.
I don't think you need to worry about using Knauf drywall products. It's a Brazilian brand, probably only distributed in Brazil and surrounding South American countries. If you watched the video closely, you'd also have noticed that they were using metric tape measures, so the components wouldn't be interchangeable with U.S. building products, anyway.
