another note: i saw NO once in chicago, early 90s. this was their last song, and just as it was starting, hooky leaned into the microphone and simply said "ian curtis". and i lost it. i think the whole theater lost it. powerful stuff.

Agree with Canuck21 - New Order have so many great tracks on Movement ,Power Corruption and Lies and Low Life but people only remember Blue Monday and True Faith,i suppose that's the way they wanted it though,never do interviews and let the music do the talking,think Hooky was naffed off that The Perfect Kiss video was never aired,nearly 10 mins of brilliance just wasted imo

You could also forget about "Temptation", my second favourite song of all time after "Ceremony". I like Curtis, but I'm not sure that I want to trade these wonderful New Order songs.

Except for "Ceremony", my top 5 songs are from New Order and on top of that, I think NO's "7 of "Ceremony" is almost perfect, not even Ian vocal could make it better for me.

I like JD's music better than New Order, but I think that it's good that Joy Division sort of had a short run, because sometimes good things should be short and not dragged out. I mean look at bands like Van Halen and the Police. They've been around so long and now they're doing all of these reunion shows, trying to recreate their past work. I wish JD would have stayed around a bit longer, but they might not have been as renown as they are today if they had a longer career.
