He also had to learn a new offense every year so there was never any continuity. He never got familiar with a system. Aaron Rodgers has been in McCarthys system for 5 yrs and look at him now. Im not saying Smith was Montana or anything, but he showed flashes of being really good. He'll be good on a team that knows how to develop young QBs. Hes only 26.
