  • Good man for sticking to the British Plates :P

  • im sure this vid doesn't do it any justice

  • @calvinnn1 it doesn't... I can't wait to post a better video, but as a videographer myself, the only way to get it shot the way I want is to do it myself.. and that means someone else has to drive it... riiiight... LOL

  • nice to see u still got the british plates

  • LOVE..

  • whats the 0-60 on somthing like this? and fuel ?

  • @mwoodford87 slow and good. Hopefully that answers your questions lol

  • lool they hve our little minis in america ?? pmsl

  • haha transformers logo on the back :D

  • The REAL Mini.

  • Very nice

  • @77Tonyz Thanks

  • Ive got a question, im thinking of getting a mini for my first car, would the insurance be a bitch for a 17 year old? probably be making mods like bodywork and small engine mods

  • @MrJackWaters im in the same position, for me a 998cc example would cost me about £1900 and i wouldnt advise not declaring mods, but if theyre small enough you can always get away with them, even if they come round to check they wont notice a faster cam or bigger valved cylinder head ;)

  • @MrJackWaters hey im 17 and have got a classic mini cooper 1.3i, most of my mates are paying well over £1500 for their insurance mine is £795 go through footman james car insurance there by far the best and cheapest!

  • nice

  • Sweet! ;-)

  • @sparkyization Thanks

  • @akura2 Absofreekinlutely!!

Now, however, it is time for .....ROAD TRIP!!! About ten minutes of Angry-Mini (properly British Racing Green with a big # 5 decal on the door) touring the rolling countrySide at angry microMini warp speeds and wonderful sounding exhaust notes!!! :-D

  • @sparkyization FUnny you should say that... my car now has a light bar with four lights and a big number 8 on the doors right now (magnetic) too bad we can;'t post pics or links to pics on here...

  • what cam are you running?

  • @fbcorvette Not sure about the cam, but it's pretty lumpy... it came with the car when bought it....

  • the rims are nice.

  • @s10withbass Thanks... 2.5-inch lips on the front rims, and 3.5 on the rear, staggered

  • @akura2 which spacers did you use? H&R?

  • @MrJSmithify I don't have any spacers on it... the rear wheels have spacers built into the back side of the centers... and the wheels are offset so that the rear wheels have a 3.5-inch lip and the fronts have a 2.5-inch.....

  • lush

  • @TXTTOMMY Thanks....

  • <3 oh god it sounds WONDERFUL!!! =D oh how i love classic mini's

  • @AnimepimpYT Thanks... I love my car

  • Still rockin the british plates - fair play to you

  • @LostProphetRalphy Thanks...LOL

  • Sounds awesome.

  • that sounds awesome! and i love the wheels too.

  • what did yu do to get it to sound like that ?? i have a 1977 mini leyland i want it to sound like that !!

  • Cams, straight through exhaust, custom headers... I think that's about it

  • cam by the sound of it and what ever the exhaust system is

  • ITS AN AUTOBOT!!!!! lol

  • bumble bee got a nice much needed makeover

  • how much are these cars in the united states... i always wanted a right hand drive one

  • The prices vary based on where you get it and the condition.. a California Mini will cost more than an east coast Mini because the metal will be in better condition... but the prices range from $4k to $25k

  • about $15,000 to $50,000

  • its an autobot :S

  • saw your classic in Mini World...awesome stuff!

  • Thank you

  • lol ur mini is an autobot =P

  • hi i was just wondring if i could fit in a car like that im 190cm high i like the car alot and i want to get one.

  • Ive got one and im 6 foot 4 which is pretty much 190 cm so yeah you should get in one without any trouble.....as long as you don't mind a slight lack of headroom haha

  • yh ull fit im 6ft i gt loads room fit bucketseats and slide em back

  • Awesome mini, it's a shame they're getting to be so rare in the US. Those image wheels look great by the way! Spendy but equally awesome!

  • In the Uk its not so there becoming rare, its more rare for them to be seen in good condition, I want one for my first car, just hope i can find a good one :)

  • youll be able to find a good one but ull have to dig deep and save for abit ive been looking for one now coz ive passed my test and there all sky high prices

  • Original Mini: The coolest car on planet Earth.

  • I WANT YOUR CAR

  • nice mini mate what wheels are they i want some like that for my mini :)

  • See above... :o)

3-piece Image Wheels from the UK

  • Has the old british plates I see!

    Nice one!

  • it's an autobot!!!!!!!! also that is a alsome roar for that alsome little car i thought i was looking at a dodge charger for a second. anyway the old mini cooper is way cooler then the new cooper. they messed up th mini coop now.... still the old one still rocks the house!!!

  • Love that sound, fantastic.

  • mate im liking that

  • Nice sounding Mini! was the exhaust already in the middle of the car or did you fit it to the middle?

Also has it got lumpy cam?

  • the exhaust was put in the middle by the previous owner, but it comes stock to one side...

and yes the cam is quite lumpy... LOL

  • sounds like mine.. mine has a rally cam so its very lumpy.. sounds mental, although a little loud as the manifold is blowing again..

love the sound of this one.. maybe get a few more vids.. be good to see more of it

  • all down to emissions etc when the regulations came out.

  • Nice Mini, sound's great.

In the UK it's highly illegal not to have a CAT on the exhuast. Is it not in the US?

  • its only illegal in the uk if the cars newer than 1992. if its older than that then it doesnt need a cat

  • okay.

    why's that?

  • here in the 'States many older "classic" cars didn't have cats... so when they added the "law" that cars had to have them, they grandfathered in cars over a certain age... cars older that 1975 are allowed not to have cats and not to be smogged....

  • not if the car is older than 1992 i think mate

  • i had a dream about owning a mini last night, now i know i must have 1. wop wop woohooo baby! urs is a beauty. i got to a festival of transport every year and theres always a lil army of minis there. you should go.

  • i love those rims, they are what all minis should have, the real classoc ones

  • Thanks.. I haven't read it/ gotten it yet but I'm looking forward to seeing the spread... I even took some of the pics in it

  • where did you buy this car????

  • Here in the US... (California)

  • I love your Mini -I just read the feature in Mini World. Any idea where I can buy a buttkicker in the UK? I bet it sounds awesome!

  • It sounds/feels VERY impressive... like having 3 12-inch speakers in the car... without the rattle and w/o people hearing you from down the block....

  • Comment removed

  • aaaaaaah little dear of a car

  • Thank you

  • how did you get that sound, what have you got from the engine

  • 1275 bored to 1380... cams... custom header... straight through exhaust... twin SU carbs... the basics

  • I'm the 2009 president of MOALA so come on down!

  • how much bhp has a 1989 to 1995ish cooper s have?

  • great sounding mini....really cool to see UK plates in the USA. Have you checked out minimark069's videos?...if not do it - truly awesome

  • I have my MK 3 on the way from England, but it still has the original 998. Love the sound of this one... I plan on spending time getting the body where it belongs, the suspension, the brakes, the electrical gremlins, then finally move on to a new engine. Mini Owners of America? How do I get information on that and possibly joining? Great mini...

  • Very nice car, loving the british plates!!

  • Thanks....

  • Great car and great sound!!!

  • hi nice mini, just wondering what wheels you have and what the dimentions were?

  • We had just come back from a Transformers drive-in movie night... And part of the protocol was to do a theme with your car... It was temporary... LOL

  • Dude, a transformers logo?

  • different, how fast are these things theres almost nothing to it. its so tiny, where are you from also.

  • I'm from Paramount, CA.. originally from New York.... actually mine's pretty quick... it's not that fast, but quick.... I can get from 0-60 pretty fast, but it's only a 4-speed, so it's not that fast overall... I still have to get it dyno'd.... I'm the new president of the Mini Owners of America, Los Angeles chapter for 2009 and I need to set up a local dyno day as my first decree in office...

  • Mini owners of America? I hope to join soon; 1962 mini on the way for me!

  • hi, what engine have you got and what exhaust system have you installed?

    thanks

  • 1275 bored out to 1380, and the exhaust is only a center twin exit stainless exhaust... and there is no Catalytic

  • never....

  • there's always one ass... jealous much?

  • stop being a twat, the mini is an awesome car, first car especially, i get a lot of credit blasting into college every morning in a tasty mini SOOO get over yourself, they are coool cars

  • wata beast

  • Lovely car.

Going to get myself one of these and restore it.

  • Thanks... they're a lot of fun

  • cool car bet that cost a lot to convert it to left hand drive i suppose its worth it after having ot over there for 13 years though

  • The mini was sold as LHD in Europe, so the chances are it wasn't converted.

  • nevermind, it has a UK plate on the back

still, it wouldn't have been difficult to convert.

  • hey dude. nice mini, iv just bought one, what wheels are they as im still stuck for what wheels to buy.

  • They are superlites or minnilites. Google those 2 words mate, cheers

  • They are made by Image wheels in the UK

  • im from the uk, image wheels are very good, if you didnt buy them and they came with the car you got a good deal

  • wot exhaust is it?

  • It's basically the RC40 Millennium center exit... but instead of the twin DTM tips... it has the twin straight tips

  • Absolutely gorgeous!

  • Thanks... it's my favorite toy...

can't wait for mini meet west...

    minimeetwest2008. com

  • did u change the steerin rack wen u put 13s on? i no u can get away wif out doin it, but im thinkin more of how it will drive wif out it

  • The car had 13s on it when I bought it... so I'm not sure if the rack was changed... as far as I know... it wasn't

  • Hi! What rims do you have? 6x13?

  • 7x13 three-piece.... 3.5-inch lip in the rear.... 2.5 inch lip in the front (staggered fitment)

  • Nice. Im thinking about getting some 7X13 deep dish, but im not sure if they'll fit. At the time i have some 6X13 revolutions. Nice car by the way!

  • Thanks... we don't have MOT over here so we don't have to worry about the "wheels sticking out of the fenders" law... I know they're strict about that over in the UK

  • my first car IS a mini!

  • sick sounding cams

  • wow dude nice mini,

im thinkin of getting one for my first car, is the insurance any good on em? also are there any websites where i can find tuning parts?

  • Dude there's more parts available for minis than just about any other car known to man, try miniworld, minifinity, minispares, maniflow, z-cars, moorspeed, avonbar, vmax, look at stage tuning kits, engine conversions etc, if oyu are gonna get a mini, insure it with specailist mini insurance companies, any other company wont have a clue. good luck man, hope you get one!

  • wow lol looks like i didnt do enough research i wont be gettin one just yet as they put the driving age up to 18 but i really want one lol

chhers for the help tho dude

  • my first car was a mini, i still have it but it needs work doin to it so it might one day look like that one ^^

but insurance for me when i was 17 was £1500(from adrian flux - maybe try somwhere else? i mighta...well probably was ripped off) for a year and it was only a 998cc :S

can't wait till its back on the road again!! :D!

  • same here.... i want a mini real bad as well as my first car.... i just want the cheapest one possible but it has 2 be in good running condition 4 at least 3-4 years....after that hopefully il enough money to get started with mods....wud loooove 2 put a bike engine in it : )
