  • YES~ this song is beautiful!

  • Ankie Bagger is amazing! I wish she'd release a new album already! =D

  • The same key combination as "If you were a woman and I was a man" by B. Tyler and "You give love a bad name" by Bon Jovi. And I love them all :)

  • Nostalgi som attan!! :)

  • this version always reminded me of blackpool flamingoes.good choice of record.

  • this is also sounds similar like "heaven is a place on earth" :)

  • You cling to life, stabbed by a steak knife, will you live tonight, blood shines in the light

  • what year was the song made??

  • @Traigame2cervezas It's from 1989. :) Still has that good ol' '80s flavor.

  • @xZaCloudx Thanks for the answer!

  • yeh, this is the same song as bon jovi's "you gove love a bad name". Same key, same progressions, same key change.

  • @rjgrill Yeah, these two songs are so original, that I can name more than 15 more with the same harmony and key changes haha

  • @rjgrill

If you think they sound similar, look up "Axis of Awesome 4 chords". ;-)

  • Sounds similiar to "You Give Love a bad name" from Bon Jovi, isn't it?

  • @Smolky Thank´s soooooo much!!!!...... when i first listened i found it similar to some song...then i knew that was bon jovi but i didn´t knew the name of the song, thank´s!!! ( sorry for my horrible english!)

  • @likidf Don't worry :D I'm from Spain so I speak English worse than you :p

  • SABATON ROCKS :D

  • Shot through the heart and you're to blame

Darling, you give love a bad name!

  • nice song.i like nightwish better but this version is also awesome

  • Gud vad jag älskade henne när jag var liten. Skrev 100 tals brev till hennes fan-club, men fick aldrig nåt svar. Fick dock svar från Europe. :D

  • hi

I just wonder who wrote this song first. is it Nightwish or Anki Bagger.

    I like both versions.

  • @nemohssin

    It was Anki Bagger

  • @nemohssin logicaly Anki, she's older singer than them.

  • @nemohssin

this is a 80s song! nightwish did their version in 2004 i think, or 2005!

  • my girlfriend keeps singing this song all the time, but there's absolutely no reason for that! :)))))

  • @VukohodMracni

Back when music was awesome and not how many naked Britney Spears you could fit into a music video. :p

  • Jösses!! på den tiden kunde man inte få nog av denna skapelse... :)

  • watched 28 seconds just to hear the white death intro XD

sabaton pulled it off better wololol

  • I love both the Ankie Bagger version and the Nightwish version. It was pretty hard to find the Nightwish version on mp3, but it's impossible to find the Ankie version:(

  • @cobhc1986 Hell, I don't think it was a good choice for a cover, it sounds strangely, I find.

  • @cobhc1986 Type in youtube-mp3 in google and click on the first link. Works like a charm.

  • @cobhc1986

here tarja does a MEDLEY whit the bonjo and these song ajajajajaja

  • years go by so fast... :)

  • winkの夜にはぐれての原曲ですね(^-^)

  • i came here because of sabaton this sounds like bon jovi as well o.o

  • Comment removed

  • Thumbs up if you came here because it sounds like White Death by the great Sabaton

  • Sounds like Sabaton - White Death ... but POWER METAL is better

  • Credits

Backing Vocals - Jean-Paul Wall , Pernilla Wahlgren , Sussie Päivärinta* , Suzzie Tapper , Tommy Ekman

    Producer - Anders Hansson (tracks: 1 to 7, 10 to 12) , Ola Håkansson (tracks: 1 to 7, 10 to 12) , Tim Norell (tracks: 1 to 7, 10 to 12)

  • Anki was some hottie as well.

  • Bon Jovi-Give love a bad name....the same or what

  • Comment removed

  • very beautiful tune, i heard this as loading bay remix, awesome

  • Thumbs up if you watched this video because you found out Sabaton used the riff on "White Death"

  • @0intelligence0 It's a catchy riff, easy to combine, could be a coincidence.

At least if they stole it, they would've given Anki credits in the Metal Crue.

  • har kvar hennes autograf på ett fotografi.. det ni!!!

  • too bad pop isn't like this any more

  • this might be as good as nightwish, lets call it a tie

  • you can't really blame this song for sounding like other songs from the 80's.. I mean, everything sounds alike nowadays as well .___.

  • i think this song is the other part of you give love a bad name, the part of the girl

  • Back to the sweet 80`s

  • ...Shot through the heart...

    ...And you're to blame...

  • @aquatrun: This is the original song from 1989, written by Alexander Bard (Army of lovers) and some other swedes.

  • Great, but I think that Nightwish version is a bit better :)

  • @svizy

    this is the original

  • @stolpiller Still like Nightwish version better :D

  • @svizy No, no it's not. It's good but not better. But then i'm biased, i grew up with this version... :)

  • @svizy like always.

  • @LucianaPuma fangirl

  • @flaurosan Not at all. i'm talking bout the music. actually, i hate all nightwish members. specially the keyboard. who does he think he is? >:o

  • "You're in the sniper's sight, first kill tonight, time to die

You're in the bullet's way, white death's prey, say goobye!" Haha

  • ankie have made this song if you wanna know! and she is from sweden too

  • Anki, vad härlig du är när du räcker ut tungan. ;-P

  • Wow 0:57...Heat Ledger look alike hehe, cool

  • yeh nightwish is better it still has the nice 80's sound but they have done it there way and it turned out to be a really good cover

  • I don't know..."White Death" definitely sounds similar, but not close enough to be the same melody. If anything, this sounds more like a ripoff of Bon Jovi's "Livin' On a Prayer." There are plenty of songs out there that sound 'similar' to each other, like "Seasons in the Abyss" by Slayer and whatever that Kreator song was, but this isn't nearly as close as, say, Killing Joke's "Eighties" and Nirvana's "Come As You Are." Basically, I don't think they're close enough to be notable.

  • i have a question this is the original version? i was eare this song with nightwish but i like this too tha the nightwish version XD

  • i dont care who is better:P. covers arent an attempt to make something better, it's more like a tribute to the song/artist (or sometimes a parody:P). the people in nightwish that suggested this cover probably realy liked Anki

  • White Death + Rick Roll = This.

(BTW I know perfectly well this came first)

  • nooooo......Where were you last night comes from 80´ and Nightwisg was establish about 90... so Anki is owner of tthis song ,but she is the worst, ... Nightwish is the best.....

  • i'm sorry for anki but Nightwish own this SONG!

  • @arhangel1894 Perhaps, but Nightwish's version wouldn't exist without this. ;)

  • @Ander01SE True, best wishes for ya:)

  • så bra nostalgi ......

  • Who came first?

  • @Vampwatch1462

    This one is the original.

  • "Your in the snipers sight, your first kill tonight, time to die."

  • @WildSwampchild You're in the bullet's way, the White Death's pray. SAY GOODBYE!

  • @WildSwampchild Shit lol I just heard first 5 seconds and I could already hear those words in my head. xD

Maybe because they're still bouncing around in there cuz of the last night's concert..

  • @WildSwampchild "You're in the bullet's way, you're the White Death's prey, say goodbye."

  • @WildSwampchild

    33 People know sabaton :D

  • @WildSwampchild

"You're in the bullet's way, the White Deaths prey. Say Goodbye!"

  • @WildSwampchild SABATON!

  • 2:18 Energy 52 - Café Del Mar?

  • Comment removed

  • Great song!!

  • Sabaton's cover is better.

  • Nightwish's cover is better

  • this one is nice, but the nightwish version is not bad

  • It is obvious to me that this a copy of Bon Jovi and Belinda Carlisle. Shame on this girl!

  • Have to say I enjoy Tarja's voice for this song much more. Though this one is still really nice.

  • Fuckin awsome Sabaton - White Death!

  • @TreborSWE You're in the sniper's sight

    The first kill tonight

    TIME TO DIE!!! \m/

  • The chorus sounds quite like Bonnie Tyler – If you were a Woman and I was a Man:P

  • not a bad song! so this is where sabaton got their riff for their new song

  • I like Nightwish's version better because Tarja's voice seems to convey emotion more... but this isn't bad either. Just Tarja's voice seems to have the proper desperation needed for this kind of song. Anyhoo, interesting to hear the original. Defiantly sounds like "You give love a bad name"

  • oh this is the original that nightwish covered? lol nice

  • hola buen video

  • well, Anki is the one that made this single, so all credits for that. however it is good that a great song like this was remade by others, like nightwish and I hope it will be remade in the future by others. there are also other songs as epic as this, for example last christmas, I think that song was the most times remade.

  • Anki ?.... how about "Ankie" (-: nice song, written by some of the Sweedish guys from the group "Secret Service"

  • Me too! I thought it was a bon jovi's song XD

  • Wink (from Japan) had the best version of this song.

  • nightwish is far better but that's very good also.

  • @MasterChico13 nightwish is too bettter...

  • Лучшая песня!!!! Просто совершенство!

  • Utgivningsåret.....någon?!

  • @Janusmannen Har för mig att denna kom -89.

  • great song !!! =*

  • They did a cover of this, so what? they play metal, doesn't mean they have to just play metal, they're musicians they cna play wahtever the fuck they want to play. and yes, this song is an 80s song, and was written in the 80s synthpop/rock genre. but when NW covered this, they put their own musicals style in it, which gave it a whole different feel. this and the cover is good no doubt

  • btw NW cover was freaking awesome *____* one of my fave songs xP and tuomas can cover whatever he wants o.O... u can even turn a trance song in metal if u want lol whats the matter? as long as u put ur style in it u can do what u want xP

  • How is that Nightwish made a cover of this song.... Does Toumas like this type of music too???

  • Nightwish have much covers. But good covers :-)

  • Ronny och Ragges Pökpåsen är ju den bästa covern på den här låten

  • Good song for its time. To be fair, you can't really compare anyone to Tarja Turunen vocally. Well, you can, but the list is pretty short.

  • A great song. It bugs me that I can't find this cd anywhere. Hopefully it will be re-released soon.

  • Haven´t heard Nightwish version, but i think this ones better, and Anki has a better singing voice than Tarja Turunen for this song. Don´t get me wrong, TT has an amazing voice, but for an 80´s pop song Anki´s voice is much better

  • Anki Bagger was one of the hottest chicks in Sweden in the late eighties.

    Pretty nice popsong too...

  • Oh trust me, she still is. She kinda looks the same really.

  • Comment removed

  • Heh pretty unfair comments i think. Well ofc we all have our opinions it´s ok but after all THIS is the original song. some may ask: "so?".

ain´t it a bitch if you perform a song and like 10 years after someone makes coverversion of it and folks are cheering: "heyyy, this is a loooot betteeeer".

    lolol. lmfao! =)

  • i like nightwish better

  • nightwish cover is much better!

  • *Oh,I love this song* Thanks for uploading*

  • This _always_ reminds me of Bon Jovi's "You give love a bad name" and also Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven is a place on earth".

  • @Mawerick77 Yeah this is straight up Bon Jovi

  • Comment removed

  • @Mawerick77 You must be joking! Although it's great song, it's more similar to Modern Talking's "Your my heart...". I'd say subject of one of them is a copy (I don't know which song is older).

  • @Mawerick77 A todos nosotros...

  • @Mawerick77 and Bonnie Tyler's "If you were a woman, and I was a man".

  • this is the original song, a big hit in the 80s, every disco played this, and one time, when she was singing live boys throw upp ther underwear on the stage, i could fuck her, ohhhh yeaaaa give it to me baby, ahaa, ahaaaa

  • I've actually never seen this video. I got this vinyl maxi-single at home.

Thanx for posting it for our pleasure!

  • Do someone know who wrote the lyrics "Where were you last night"???

  • Tim Norell, Ola Håkansson and Alexander Bard.

  • I have to say I prefer WINK's version, but that's probably because I heard that one first. I do think this is better than Nightwish's version; this isn't really a metal-ish song. And to those who obsess with Nightwish and are going to mark me down for this, just shove it ;)

  • both versions are awesome...

  • i like nw better :P but this is also great

  • my bf just introduced me to wishsides nightwish cd & this is my fav song on it. so i come looking for info & found out just a moment ago that its actually a cover song & so i went looking for the original artist. now..it isnt very often that i like the "original" better (or even at all) after hearing it done by someone else...but this time...i dunno which i like better...nightwish or anki! both are GREAT! "looks for a suitable medley of both version together LOL"

  • Comment removed

  • tarja turenen version is good and wonderfull than this!

  • The Nightwish Version Is Better.

  • Covers usually aren't supposed to be better than the original. They're tributes!!!

    I like both versions ;)

  • This version is so far better! Good times!!!
