Hardstyle turning into Nu-style is like if you liked a very nice brand of vanilla ice cream. Then suddenly, some corporate fat cats come in and change the taste to strawberry, but violently enforce the fact that "it's still vanilla - now buy it!".

It wouldn't matter if both could exist and thrive equally :/ It was so weird when I kept a small break from the hardstyle-scene for 1-2 years, came back and I was SURE an online store "had the genre wrong" when checking new hardstyle.

ok.. too many haters gathered at a video... i weep for what hardstyle has become, i agree with evolution, but putting a fancy melodi and killing reverse bass, now that's involution, murder, grotesc. Hardstyle should be hard, now every goddamn song with a 140-160bpm is called hardstyle O-o. This is a template of how hardstyle should be!!! not HHZ, or any other mainstream dj.
