I just don't get christian's at all, how can they say that there so called god exists? They can prove anything all they have is a belief that god is real, but us Atheist use science to prove or disprove. The problem is we don't know the limitation of our intelligence. Allah did not give us that power of our brain to know these answers. I assume your refering to the scientific method. It is a pretty sturdy method however there are flaws. for instance you cant prove that you had lunch today using the scientific method. We use something called legal-historical proof for that. We need to get witnesses and your receipt for proof of lunch. The same is true with God. He transcends our perception so how can we prove He exists using observation alone?
Forensic science could easily determine what I had for lunch today.
Observation alone is a poor tool. Luckily we have a bunch of devices to measure all sorts of things, forces, magnetic fields etc. Combine these with reason and logic and you will get a powerful method
Still by using the legal historical method we get accounts of people who actually witnessed Jesus heal the blind. One of them is the Bible. I dont think it has been discredited. In fact it is one of the most historically accurate texts we have. And the question was not what you had but IF you had lunch lets say a year ago today. You couldnt prove that with science.
Why is that? These men's lives where just as sceptical as you are now. When Jesus was hung on the cross they completely gave up. Then after 3 days they decided to go spread the word about a dead Messiah. Why? I can understand lying about it to cover for their embarressment but they all except one died horrible and grisly deaths for their beliefs. To change from a skeptic to a martyr in 3 days leaves one logical conclusion. They saw Him alive themselves.
My own knowledge proved to me that there is no god. I proved it to myself already when I was 6 years old, when I found out about dinosaurs, but I didn't realise it until recently.

We know humans are flawed, this is why we design experiments that can't have errors and only show factual truths. Scientists don't make theories up. They repeat and refine experiments over and over again.

If you are trying to scientifically prove God, you have failed before you start. What proof of God could possibly exist that could not also apply to a being simply far more advanced than us, but not God? All you can prove is the existence of far superior beings, not infinitely superior ones. There is always an infinitely large gap that can be filled only by faith. So just be honest with yourself and call it faith not science.

The burden of proof lies with those make a claim that something is true, not with those who have yet to evidence to support the claim. I assume your refering to the scientific method. It is a pretty sturdy method however there are flaws. for instance you cant prove that you had lunch today using the scientific method. We use something called legal-historical proof for that. We need to get witnesses and your receipt for proof of lunch. The same is true with God. He transcends our perception so how can we prove He exists using observation alone?

Forensic science could easily determine what I had for lunch today.
Observation alone is a poor tool. Luckily we have a bunch of devices to measure all sorts of things, forces, magnetic fields etc. Combine these with reason and logic and you will get a powerful method
of determining how the natural world works

Still by using the legal historical method we get accounts of people who actually witnessed Jesus heal the blind. One of them is the Bible. I dont think it has been discredited. In fact it is one of the most historically accurate texts we have. And the question was not what you had but IF you had lunch lets say a year ago today. You couldnt prove that with science.

Witness testimony is never enough to confirm a miracle. It is notoriously unreliable.

Why is that? These men's lives where just as sceptical as you are now. When Jesus was hung on the cross they completely gave up. Then after 3 days they decided to go spread the word about a dead Messiah. Why? I can understand lying about it to cover for their embarressment but they all except one died horrible and grisly deaths for their beliefs. To change from a skeptic to a martyr in 3 days leaves one logical conclusion. They saw Him alive themselves.

My own knowledge proved to me that there is no god. I proved it to myself already when I was 6 years old, when I found out about dinosaurs, but I didn't realise it until recently.

personally i think that god was propaganda invented to keep people in line so i doubt that there is a god. unless a god that we dont know about did it.

what makes me laugh about religious people is they dont take time to educate themselves about facts and how things came to be, instead they create an immaginary excuse for why they dont know...It was god's will! satan caused it!
blah blah blah, why dont you guys add real historical scientific knowledge with your god beliefs? that is because everything you thought god did, happens naturally with out him right :D

We know humans are flawed, this is why we design experiments that can't have errors and only show factual truths. Scientists don't make theories up. They repeat and refine experiments over and over again.
