  • i went to LDRS Amarillo texas summer 2002. and it was one of the worst experiences ive ever had. i saw sooo many loosers and fags there. omg people spending all that money to see a piece of metal/plastic to go up in the air and fall down with a chute. and calling it successful what a waste of intelligence and money and time.

  • there are 33 loosers . I`m sure, who doesn`t like this ?

  • @jasfer3 i went to LDRS Amarillo texas summer 2002. and it was one of the worst experiences ive ever had. i saw sooo many loosers and fags there. omg people spending all that money to see a piece of metal/plastic to go up in the air and fall down with a chute. and calling it successful what a waste of intelligence and money and time.

  • @jasfer3 your the looser

  • I don't like the music, too loud but very nice video.

  • wait whats up with real ww2 planes flying over when ur launching rockets?

  • @bunny153649 The event took place at the HAG airfield in Geneseo NY, home of the movie Memphis Belle. The B-17 and it's escort were taking off to attend an airshow elsewhere, so we stopped (we don't want to risk a national treasure) and took in the sound and sight of one of the most significant aircraft in history. Other planes gave historic air rides during the day as it's a working grass airstrip.

  • nice man, that looks like a lot of fun at one event!

  • red rocket boy red rocket ooooooooooooooorrrrr look its a giant... JOHNSON!!!

  • 23:0 What I would give to drive that car to work like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dang! I really wanted to see the Mousquito fly! Anyone know of a video of it flying or how about a Mars Lander video? Is there a high-powered version of Centuri's first rocket The Point? Actually, I think it was the first commercial rocket sold.

  • B-52 BOMBA!

  • B-17.......WW II stuff......but I wouldn't mind getting that close to a B-52

  • it looked like a dildo at frist lol

  • you got a sick mind mtvprankes lol

  • 00:23 new car of james bond??

  • the music IS crap

  • what are lawn darts misfires?

  • @popcorn8190 Lawn Darts are rockets that fail to eject their parachutes, and therefore come all the way back down and stab themselves into the ground.

  • Aww...ya gotta love the 'lawn darts!' =)

  • Love the opening. Mosquito is by far my favorite rocket design, I have an unopened mosquito from the mid 70's. Love the upscales too. I have an 8X upscale, with the fin width intact.

  • LOLOOLMARFOLMAMOO!!!! at :23 lol..I know the people on the Highway were like WTF??????

  • i thought the exact same thing lol!

  • Some real nice action going on there...............If we did that in England they would send in the riot police !

  • I believe that was last weekends Saturn V.......and no phony explosions, just a great flight. Obviously you missed the word launch on the end of the title.

  • Impressive show!

  • some rockets look like sam sites...

    0.0

  • thats neat having B-52D bombers flying over with Hellcats!!!!1

  • That was a WWII B-17, not a B-52...

  • B 52?

  • B-17, it's the movie Memphis Belle, the real Memphis Belle is being rebuilt

  • I am a ball guy ! yEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH ...Cool man yeah ........sugar sugar sugar sugar sugar.

  • LOL WTF????

  • this made me sad

  • why!!!!!!!????????!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This make me sad too.. I was not there to see... damn't

  • wish I could do that!

  • try a tar+o2 hybrid

    nice vid ;-D

  • VooDoo- excellent response.

  • how do i build these awesome mosters!

  • wow those r so big im suprised the gaovernment didnt think u were firing missiles

  • The gubbment knows who we are, they REALLY know who we are, and we know who they are. We are exposing kids to engineering, science, math, aerodynamics and they are complaining we may hurt ourselves. We build, they and their lynchmob with the CPSC and wonder why we don't have the engineers, kids interested in science and math to keep our country strong. They are the anti-science, we push it forward. Life must be very insulated in their federally funded cocoons. They need some air.

  • Voo, how can I join? I'm 12 years old and I love math and science.

  • how about mine..

i used R/C model rocket launcher with a vehicle..

    see my video

  • Nice planes too! Corsair is my fav... I've built a home made rocket 3+ft a replica of a tomahawk missile! Haven't launches it yet. Waiting for farmer to cut corn.

  • Better than the B-17?!? You must really like that design. It's different an cool, but the 17 is an icon. Good luck on your launch and watch it to the ground so you get it back.

  • This is Great! I love creative people like this ones! =D

  • What is the largest model rocket built that can actually fly? Anyone know?

  • Don't know but did you see the x wing fighter one? Look it up!

  • ... 1 our of 5 :)

  • i got to build a rocket last week and launch it off today for school!!!

  • That's how it all starts.....hold on, it will be a great ride!

  • is that the fullscale HV arcas at 1:27

  • yes and before is a 1/4 nike smoke

  • can you post the video of the mosquito launch please?

  • CR, where the f*ck you been??!! Email me some time, will ya?

  • Excellent hobby! Love it...

PS- I have made ONE comment in the last 30 hours, and just had to enter a confirmation code for exceeding my limit.

    I hate Youtube.

  • Rockets are cool.

  • "worlds largest amateur rocket launch" MEANING the worlds largest gathering of amateur rocket hobbyist. Not the biggest rocket in the world.

  • It's the world's largest amateur rocket orgy........and pros build the Sat5........but give us time. ;-)

  • what is the one at the beginning i remember that one was the white lightning in aerotechs online product catologe last year

  • The Super Mosquito!

  • haha yea...im doin an 8X upscale of the mosquito now...i love that rocket

  • nice 2 stage

  • What kind motors do you use for rockets that size??

  • The tube fin rocket shown from underneath flew an N motor, the largest possible at the field with the height restrictions. Many of the larger rockets were Ms.

  • Awesome video. Out of interest how much would one of those rockets cost. Looks like a expensive hobby.

  • Estes rockets can go for as low as $15, the largest projects in this video can go into $3K.....it's a bit expensive, but when the chutes don't open it's very, very expensive

  • OMG A B-17!! I would love to see one of those irl :D

  • This is very interesting for lack of better word. Where and when is this event? You just don't see this in the city any day!

  • lol at beggining

    nice rockets

  • where can I download that music if it`s possible

  • Go to myspace and search calminsight

  • Why would you want to? Horrible.. Worst guitar solo at end too..

  • World's Largest Rocket Launch?????????????!

  • 6 days, hundreds of flights.........and some very late nights.

  • this is an amazing rocket and you have no right to make fun of it unless you build one yourselves

  • I know none of you people are going to believe me, but the guitarist for this band, CalmInSight, is now my Social Studies teacher.

  • i've seen longer -_-

  • That was kinda cool.

  • the 27th vid looks exactly like the mean machine

  • where did you buy these rockets? all i have is the estes alpha 3, estes no.2 sky writer, and the estes sky hawker. i want to get the estes mean machine for 25.00 dollars it's 6ft. tall. anyways please reply

  • In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars franchise a rocketeer named Andy Woerner, with the help of his rocketry club members, has built a 21 foot long replica of the X-Wing Fighter that will actually fly on four rocket motors in the scale engine locations. For more info check out 3dub d/ot plasterblaster d/ot com/projects d/ot html.

  • that was sick dude check out sasquatches video.

  • At this launch, the rocket with the tube fins which is seen from underneath was a Canadian effore and used a Cesaroni N-2500 motor.

  • What was the biggest engine used?

  • To do that you have to buy the DVD, they are all on the video....this was the music video from the DVD ;-)

  • Well done, guys!

  • B-17 & T-6 are a nice touch.

  • I thought it was a T-34 mentor, not the T-6 Texan? I might be mistaken though.

  • how many pounds of thrust wuld you say one of those rockets would give off?

  • The minumum safe take off weight is a 5:1 ratio, so depending on the weight of the rocket they will have AT LEAST 5# of thrust for each pound of rocket at takeoff.

  • Video for the short attention span; The perfect music would have been just the roar of the rockets.

  • can they actually go into space ?

  • One has....it required huge amounts of paperwork, money, engineering from EAC, manhours, and three tries. They burn money. One recently went 93,000' on a shoestring budget and largely the work of one man.

  • wow thats insane... pretty cool though :)

  • Who was it?

  • Sorry. Who was what?

  • I mean, where was it?

  • At the Historic Air Group airstrip in Geneseo NY.

  • what music is that?

    I like so much..

  • Nice meet! And a B-17!

  • nice video of model rockets,,

i have 2 R/C military model rocket launchers on the pictures in the website,,

  • we're gonna need these people for the revolution lol

  • This was not the largest anything ever. : ) Hate to break the bubble on that one. Great looking launch though, as always. Size is of little import. Some of the best fligts are local club launches on a cold fall day where only a few dozen people attend. No lines to launch, no crowds, really close to the rockets, lots of fun.

  • TRA's National High Power Launch is recognized as the biggest ameteur launch in the world burning amazing amounts of ns. BALLS is TRA's National Experimental Launch flying larger projects but far less of them. Lines? What are lines? ;-)

  • I love this DVD. I watch it all the time. It was so much fun there!

  • Translation of waht Rocky010 wrote:

"Excellent sample, is become fond of of the USA, seems rockets of high power? incredible the full landing ground of models of the 2 airplanes of war, excellent launchings, but seems a day where recovery systems failed some of lso. Gustavo, of rosary. "

  • But I thought it was at the METRA field because didn't METRA hold LDRS 23? Well any ways kool vid.

  • METRA does NERRF (search NERRF for those vids) and has never done an LDRS. LDRS 23 was hosted by BRS in Geneseo. The B-17 in the video is the movie Memphis Belle.

  • Where is this flying field? And my oh my what a spectacular show by both the rocketeers and the classic war birds.

  • Geneseo NY, home of the HAG (Historic Air Group) warbirds

  • there was one HUUUUGE rocket, wish you had vid of that taking offf!
