At the 13 second mark, the truck strikes a bright yellow object. The object flies about 15 feet across the driveway. It could have been a heavy iron fire hydrant or a child's light plastic trike. Hard to tell. Whatever the object was, it could have easily taken out a kid playing in the yard.

TOTAL DAMAGE: 1 telephone pole$, 1 runaway pickup truck front-end$, bumper$, grill$, radiator$, parked car door$. Explaining the damage to the police and insurance company. priceless.

Unattentive Driving is ILLEGAL! Now, I could see how driving 1 to 2 mph on a deserted country highway out in the middle of no where with no one else around while you just walk beside the driver's side seat (just outside of the car and not out past half the car door), ghost riding might not be such a big deal but it is still illegal and what this driver did was very irresponsible. Not only was he in a residential neighborhood, I would bet he was driving faster than 25 mph and left the wheel.

What he did is like leaving a loaded gun on a table, a kid walks in, sits at the table, gets up and leaves the room not having touched the loaded weapon. Even though the kid didn't touch the loaded gun, he still was in danger. Same thing in this video.
