  • whenever i pitch i always get it to low, should i hold on to the ball for like a second longer? Someone please answer.

  • it doesnt matter how high you lift your leg...it matters how far you stride..hence the slide step from the stretch...a high leg kick really isn't that necessary...it about comfort and explosiveness from the push off leg and a long strong stride from the plant leg

  • but what if you a small guy like myself and you need all the power of your body behind the ball and you cant really rely on arm stength. I use a strong fron foot kick high and long planting foot

  • also if you don't have a long stride to home don't you normally throw the ball high

  • you really want your back foot to drag a straight line from the mound to home plate.

  • well, not exactly. The point is too land in line, to throw yourself in line. Even if you uses a very violent motion, like I prefer to use, you twist yourself but yet land in line. By violent motion, think about those who turn and show their back before the striding phase. At the utmost, search for Lincecum for an example.

    Even this guy with the most violent motion I ever saw land in line.

  • your swing around was good, but for someone who is making videos of this, make sure your doing it right your knee lift is wayy to low it needs to come up, your losing power from not doing so your using your arm instead of your whole body.

  • Your knee lift is not high enough. Your loosing power and arming it too much.
