  • How did I end up in the weird part of YouTube again... sigh!!!!

  • @thecomputerwhiz1 "Troll".

    You're such a fucking square.

  • when winXP chrashes it sends a report to microsoft to let them know what was the problem, i once edited that sheet and wrote "im switching to linux!!"

  • Why would i run linux? IT CAN'T EVEN PLAY THE SIMS 3!

  • @lenhofcreathings2009 lol, ubuntu is a very simple OS, you can try it without removing your current WINDOWS

  • @lenhofcreathings2009 yes you can :)

  • @trasmethrash WHAAAAT??!!! it says on the box it can( )not! O.O

  • @lenhofcreathings2009 i know, no matter how much you click the text you can't edit it, i followed a tutorial to do that, honestly i don't know if you can find it cuz i did it about 6 years ago

  • @thecomputerwhiz1 modding sims is serious business

  • pause at 0:43 LINUX YOU IDIOT STOP DRINKING WINDOWS XP!!!

  • @jenison99 It is called "Tux", and is so much better than that four color thing... xD

By the way, i prefer Linux

  • oh cmon windows xp isnt that bad compared to vista

  • Not bad.hat etwas :D!

  • Who made you Boss, Boss Boss Boss Boss Boss.

    Meet my 1337 skillz.

  • This is why my brain is slowly, getting less good at remembering things. It's getting filled with the Internet....I really should study more.

  • I'm just watched this using Ubuntu Linux

  • @flyboy2000008 Debian here

  • @flyboy2000008 bro nice english

  • @EdgyRootStudios u cant deny that windows is the best os for gaming

  • Impossible to compare.. man, just take a Linux distro and you will soon change your opinion... Once you set everything up, it's still 1.000.000 times better than Windows, sure it's hard to set up at the beginning, but after that, it will never betray you, and you'll never suffer all Window's bugs.

No way, i'm not a Linux fan boy, but since I installed Ubuntu 10.04 Lts i understood how better is than XP, (s)VISTA and SEVEN..

  • Used Windows for all of my life, swiched to Linux last year and Windows instantly got replaced. Windows is just too bulky and has too much unuseful function which I can't remove. With Linux, you can have it the way you want it to be.

  • @kevinhykuo1 I can relate, I started trying Linux about 8 years ago, I couldn't get along with it so I stayed on Windows, but as the years went by I kept having a look and seeing how it was getting on.. As Ubuntu came on the Scene and then Mint, things started to change, Linux has grown into such an amazing OS now there is no denying how great it has become.. In the upcoming Ubuntu 11.10 there's a feature which syncs all the apps on all your machines which is just WINNNING!!!

  • cool video... sure everybody hates the dlls & exes... I use Kubuntu for the past one year... and I get all my powerful softwares at no cost... Linux surely does rock...

  • @thecomputerwhiz1 Did you make a mod yet where you can crap in your neighbors lawn?

  • After 3 years with yes with Vista.

    I switched to Ubuntu.

There's a video on my channel called House Fire. It's an animation I made with Ubuntu, Vista couldn't do it.

    On the same machine.

I don't feel like typing much as I have the story laid out in the description of that video that I uploaded.

    It's my content.

  • @thecomputerwhiz1 Try GNU/Linux. ;-)

  • @thecomputerwhiz1 RPG maker and changing the color of the drapes in your sims house hardly counts. Try again when you build six servers, four secure networks, and an accounting program with current tax law implementation in one day, that what I do daily. But we can all sympathise, being a little troll on a big site, Hobo's stealin ur bridge, long lines at the laundromat waiting for a sock, not a goat for petabytes, and nothing to support your claims. Do try harder next time, I MIGHT be amused.

  • @TheRealDutchOwner Try harder. Please.

  • @EdgyRootStudios I use Ubuntu, made the switch from Windows a week ago. I'm never going back. Never.

  • @thecomputerwhiz1 congratulations

  • Linux Rules

  • Ubuntu/Linux rules :)

  • Okay i have nothing against windows for all those who like it good for you but why do you have to bash linux? honestly i havnt touched a windows system in 2 yrs and i prob never will linux has always run better on every machine ive ever put it on linux does everything ive ever wanted even gaming sure not as many comercial games for linux as windows but honestly im all for the free and open source and try to keep everything i run like it

  • @EdgyRootStudios

he isnt really that wrong..... mac have something different from windows so it can be preferred by few people, linux is trying to steal the same exactly market than microsoft... that's why is a failure....

it's only being used cause you can choose the "basic packets" so it's more suitable for servers and old pc...

but it cannot compete with windows....

  • @thecomputerwhiz1 WHat? are you serious? windows sucks!...Tell me something that windows dont have...Linux is freeware it is using 15% cpu less..Windows suck...You are a kid you want ur comouter only for games

  • @StudiosClock

this is not how it works :)

I want my computer to run EVERYTHING, and linux simply can.

yes windows is slower than linux but have you ever ask yourself why???

there is a reason why the basic installation of windows contains much more than the same with linux.

linux do not only failed to acquire microsoft market, but it also have stopped growing....

windows mesh, offline files, c#(and async programming language), the new cloud system for servers....

  • I have to admit, as a windows user, Linux is better than XP and Vista, but MS sorted themselves out and brought out Windows 7, which is much faster and has much more capabilities than Linux. But not doubting Linux, still a great OS

  • Linux is my friend :)

Been using it for basically 2 years, never looked back to windows

  • linux is a viable solution for programmers and servers, windows is a viable solution for every day activities, mac is... well... err... good at videos?

  • die windows!!! ppl who don't like linux is because they don't have any idea of what freedom is... ppl who don't like linux is because they have been brainwashed by a huge corporation that feeds from us and our PCs (with us i referr to the mankind). Fora that and much more, DIE WINDOWS DIE!!!!!

  • @goncvmgnr -_-

Perhaps it's either because people haven't heard of Linux or Ubuntu or perhaps it's because people just want to use Windows. I'm in the latter group.

  • @AnarchisThinker well... now u know bout the existence of smthing called linux, that is free and better, and lets you to be the master of your PC (not windows). It's up to you to undo the brainwash big corps did... ;)... my greetings to you! ...

  • @goncvmgnr Um, I'm sorry, but I think you need to re-check your English. 'latter' means the second thing, whereas 'former' means the first. When I said 'I'm in the latter group', I mean that I just want to use Windows. And partially because I failed to get on my home's wi-fi using an Ubuntu, since the system kept requesting me to put a password and username in, even though the connection had no password. XD

  • I have used Linux once, it suxx so much I wonder how can people switch from Windows to this shit even worse than Mac OS...

  • To state that Linux is better than windows doesn't mean that they are better but that you don't know why it is. To state that windows is better than Linux doesn't mean that they are better but that you DON'T KNOW PROGRAMMING AND COMPUTING IN GENERAL...

  • Good vid

  • EdgyRootStudios, I always laugh when I hear the Windows XP Critical Stop.wav reversed. I added your video to my channel. Good job!

  • @WinAndLinuxTutorials Thats the name of the song

  • Comment removed

  • you are genius.

  • AHH! TEH MUSIC IS BURNING MY MIND!

  • @EdgyRootStudios why not?

  • god your such a noob

  • never could get linuz to install... gues thats another box in the trash

  • I would use linux, but 1. i probobly couldn't run any agme on there

    2. my usb card doesn't have drivers for linux

  • @Robloxian182 Are, are you that dumb?

    1. Entire mass of games

    2. No drivers. FAT32 and you install, ready to go.

  • @GuitarSK8boarding by usb card i mean a usb card that connects to my wireless router

  • @Robloxian182 it doesn't need drivers for linux , linux installs the needed drivers directly. If it doesn't work search on google and you will find the solution.

and btw you can try to use wine for windows games.

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx Why do you keep mentioning "configuring your system"? You make it sound as the ultimate goal of Linux. Do you really think that people buy iPad, iMacs and PCs to change the way the desktop looks? No, they buy them because they want to run their favorite applications and hardware, period, no discussion possible. Sure, everybody likes to give his system a personal touch and you can do that on a Mac or PC, maybe not as good as Linux, but it's more than enough for most people.

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx I get sick and tired of Linux egocentric fanboys like you who assume that EVERBODY thinks like YOU. Here's a newsflash. THEY DON'T. Kids under the age of 10 use computers, teenagers, middle-aged people, elderly, handicapped people, people with different jobs, people with different social backgrounds, with different education, with different skills, they all have different needs. You try to shove an OS up their rear end based on how well it works for YOU. It's pure ignorance.

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx "Personal Support of Linux is the best, you will see ever ! It give a lot of forums, on Windows I now about 2 ! And every Linux-User help an other Newbie ! The personal Support of Windows is stil Shitty "

Stop being such a bad liar. There are tens of thousands of PC support forums that have millions of people helping others daily, year in year out. Heck, even if you don't visit forums, you still have tons of people at work or among friedns and family willing to help.

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx "And Linux detect more HARDWARE than Windows"

Liar...sigh. Every piece of hardware that you can buy nowadays ALWAYS has a Windows driver, but Linux drivers are often missing. Not only that, the drivers that Linux does have are often of bad quality. Windows has a much larger user base, so manufacturers get a lot more feedback and it's this what helps to improve drivers. The Linux desktop user base however is extremely small.

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx if you musst not, do you realy think the gpl ban that you use google to find software?

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx Linux must suck really bad, if the end user needs to sit down with his computer for a few weeks to configure it the way they want it to work...sigh

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx Yeah and windows can't? The linux core is still shitty, the personal support is shitty, no extremely good games or programs run natively on Linux, you need a VM, until more programs are ported to Linux there is no reason to use it, unless you don't have the cash to get a OS that works 100%.

  • @geeekzor You buy an OS not to fiddle with the desktop, you buy it to run applications and use hardware and it's EXACTLY in this area where Linux fails!

  • @vlptr Exactly, I'm a windows user you don't have to convince me, I run both Seven and 2008 server and it does everything I need. Nothing can make me change my OS.

  • @geeekzor What do you need server 2008 for at home? #LOL

  • @vlptr Well when you are programming in .NET its easier to have a dedicated server OS. Its more performance efficient running 2008 server + IIS then vista/w7 and IIS :)

  • @geeekzor Mmm...I find that an odd way of doing things, especially when you consider how expensive server 2008 is. Now I have to defend Linux. I run a web site that uses Linux on a VPS server. If I want to program in PHP, I just use my local Apache server with Wamp and it doesn't affect performance, heck I can even disable it within a second if I feel like it. IIS hardly also doesn't have any serious performance issues on PC, especially in this day and age of quad cores and a 64 bit OS.

  • @vlptr Well its better to run the system that I work with, I've used xampp/wamp and other similiar tools, nothing is as easy as IIS, and they rarely have all the functions I need to replicate my work servers. If I only wanted PHP and HTML + simple scripts wamp/xampp is awesome, but IIS got support for .NET and also the os security system, its installed on a amd notebook so low usage is essential :)

  • @geeekzor I don't understand why you design for IIS, it just sucks compared to the combination Linux/Apache that most site owners are using. You know, I hate Linux for desktop use, but nothing beats Linux for web servers if you ask me. Oh, well.....good luck!

  • @vlptr Because I don't program in PHP or HTML, I'm developing in .NET which requires IIS

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx "We must not make, what Fucking Microsoft, we configure our system (if we will)"

All bullshit all the time about "we configure the system", 99% of guys like you don't even know how to program in C, let alone "modify" the system. ha!ha!ha!

  • @vlptr Well It's clear that he never tried Shell mods. Gonna stop writing, this troll tosser ain't worth my time :)

  • @geeekzor Shell mods?! ha!ha!ha! OMG you fool, do you think the Ubuntu developers stopped writing code and started using this instead?! ha!ha!ha! Shell mods is just for fags who think their system doesn't look gay enough, instead of worrying about more important issues that affect what an OS is REALLY intended for, which is running applications and using hardware. Go back to your rotating 3D desktop, your gadgets and your nude woman as a background you clown! #LOL

  • @vlptr And that is what I meant... Anything linux muppets can do with their desktop windows can do better, I use everything standard apart from some shell mods that automatically sorts my icons so I don't have to, 3d desktops no thanks, nude women sure but I use a black screen, and I use my system for cad, movies, gaming, programming (python, perl php, c#, c++, ado.net, wpf, delphi, asm, c) so I would never use Linux, not even for a server.

And xxubuntublablalblalaxxx Try to learn some english

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx "Linux detect more Hardware than Windows !"

No it does not, you're just making that up. Windows beats any OS by far when it comes to successful hardware recognition, that's just a plain fact.

"and the driver-quality is mosty good !"

No it's not, driver quality is actually quite poor, just ask the millions who are dealing with Wifi issues in Linux, not to mention video drivers in gaming.

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx How about Atheros 5001? The reason why I don't use Linux is since they are not made to be easy to use, they are backup OS and servers. I've tested most distros, they all suck imo, they also still stick with "sudo apt-get install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-jdk" yey I managed to get JAVA fucking a I'm awesome, Windows users type java.com > press install > done, why go back 20 years? The whole reason to develop new stuff is to get forward, thats why we dont use dos..

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx

"Linux detect more Hardware than Windows !"

Actually it does not and even if it did, the quality of the drivers for Windows is much higher, because there are way more Windows software companies and Windows users that video card manufacturers get responses from, which helps them to improve the quality of their drivers. Not only that, when a very popular Windows game is released, these game developers are way more interested in how....

  • ...it performs on Windows, then how it performs on Linux, for which this game wasn't developed. You're just blowing air out of your rear end....sigh.

  • @xXUbuntuTutorialXx Okay since you are trolling most Win vs Linux videos i thought replying here was a good idea. Linux can be used to achieve most things, if its programming, math, writing etc etc, but Linux has a problem, there are too many distributors, microsoft is alone, therefore every good idea or even a bad idea will be put in the same product rather then 8 different ones. Also hardware is mostly made only for Windows, therefore you need to find custom drivers for the stuff you install.

  • they told me not to use Linux instead Windows

  • AWESOME!!

  • Why not use Windows AND Linux? That way, you get the best of both worlds.

  • @dubstepgamer

if u can only use linux, u save money

if u use both, u waste memory

if u use windows, with more programs compatible than any other OS.

  • @zedator

how is it a waste of money?

  • @dubstepgamer Use a mac and you're of crack

  • take what?

  • Que video más mierdero jeje, pero aguante LinuxMint

  • MUST... DOWNLOAD... UBUNTU...

  • ArchLinux, k thx. :)

  • wow this is even made with windows voice

  • I hate most of the sounds on this vid...... ANNOYS ME!!!!

  • @DeathSraxion That's funny. They're Windows sounds. Use Linux. Haha.

  • I've never had a problem with my windows but I do like linux

  • use linux, caz it dont work with anything cool

    . it only looks kool

  • @ADPDirty it dose not for nubs

  • I have had problems with my computer VERY rarely.

The most problems are experienced in internet explorer, which is natural, because it has to comply with very diferrent dynamic contents.

You just have to clean your PC from time to time, not to load it with different kinds of programs which you make none use of.

If you don't know advanced cleaning tricks, use Auslogics BoostSpeed (paid program) or Windows Live OneCare (for free). The biggest issue windows is having is no advanced "care" prog.

  • yo prefiero Windows 7 q el lInux pero si comparamos el windows XP con LINUX es obvio q el linux es totalmente mejor ps... es un poko mas complicadito pero ahi estamos mejor ...

  • linux is just the best!!!

  • "this is a subliminal message" LMAO

  • 1. sorry, my fault. i compared it with the apache server ..but, if the LAMP server is soo hard to install, why aren't you considering somethin like "apache" its even in the repositorys. ^^ and if even don't know what the command line is, check some apache guis out like NetLoony or Webmin. :D

    2. right. and i just told you that not everyone needs to prove himself by playing FPS.

    3. eeh, behave yourself. maybe your mums on youtube and if she reads your comment she'll take away your holy windows pc.

  • lol i think i just heard microsoft sam

  • @KraGeRzr so, if linux is gay, windows 7 is not even a fagott, or what?

    1. i don't know where you got this, but LAMP is the same as XAMPP ... just for your information. ^^

    2. erm, do you know, that there do exist some people around here who use their pc not only for playing neat litte FPS? like me, for example. ^^

    3. SURPRISE! ubuntu just got an awesome GUI ( = graphical user interface, thats what you should see when you turn your windows pc on, i don't know if it works, its just windows) ;D

  • @autlinux You're a fucking moron.

    1. LAMP is the Linux equivalent of Xampp, but I was talking about the time it takes to setup. Where the fuck did you pull "LAMP IS THE SAME AS XAMPP" shit from?

    I never said that.

    2. Moron. I don't care if you don't play games. I said they didn't work on Ubuntu, Gonna actually address the points I made this time??

    3. SURPRISE, YOU'RE AN IDIOT! I use Ubuntu, I know all about it's "awesome GUI" and no I don't need the abbreviation translated. Dumbass.

  • Linux is just so much better than windows..

I had to reinstall windows after my computer was compromised (again). Instead of reinstalling the operating system & putting up with the heartache again, installed ubuntu 10.10 & it runs much better than windows ever did. With the support of WINE i can play cod4, cs:s, halo, bioshock, hl2, portal, tf2, spore, and cod6mw2 in native resolution. only problem is my that my printer doesnt support 64bit linux systems but everything else is awesome !!

  • @saturnGEEK You computer was compromised at your own fault.

  • @saturnGEEK If configured properly WINE can run anything you just have to take your time =D! i'm not a ubuntu user but it's pretty good from what i've heard and it's a good thing it's working fine for you.

  • @saturnGEEK "Linux is just so much better than windows"

Sure, that's why everybody is using it right, after all it's free and more users prefer Gimp over Photoshop too because of that, right?

    (walks away laughing)

  • PC is best

  • Comment removed

  • can you tell me why i should prefer a system which costs me up to $170 instead of a free one which "just works" too?

can you give me a good reason why i should switch back to windows again? no, you CAN'T. because those reasons DON'T EXIST my friend.

  • @autlinux i agree i had 4 OS in the past so far ive never had a virus on ubuntu 10.10 and ive had blue screen of death 2 times on my vista :/ Ubuntu FTW!!

  • And then Windows 7 came along.... And showed just how gay Linux really is

    Xampp versus LAMP?

    Crysis versus Nexuiz?

    Command Lines versus Apps?

    No Viruses versus ....No Viruses?

Faulty Hardware causes BSODS versus .... Faulty Hardware causes other problems?

    Please. Windows just works.

  • @KraGeRzr You either work for microsoft or have never used linux in your life, No viruses thats funnier than the chick that walked into a bar.

Now explain to me why some of the largest hosting companies that deploy some of the biggest websites on the internet choose to use Linux instead of windows... Comand-Line versus apps this must be some kind of joke, explain to me how i am watching youtube or going on skpe or Using photoshop all from my nifty little Ubuntu Box? Please share with us all how

  • @yupitsmaple I've never gotten a virus in 4 years.

I don't even use an antivirus. Viruses must be executed by the user to activate. I'm not a dumbass, so I've never activated one.

Please play Crysis, CoD, AC, Bioshock, Mass Effect, etc on your nifty little Ubuntu box, and tell me how you're superior.

Also, please compare the setup time between LAMP and Xampplite, for an idea of why it's easier to set up a server on Windows.

  • @yupitsmaple Also, the reason hosting companies use Linux over Windows as a server, is because with Linux they can have a free, totally stripped down mini-OS entirely dedicated to one function.

That just means that it's less functional than Windows, not superior.

  • @KraGeRzr Linux is awesome as a server.

Now as a desktop OS..... Not so much. However its getting there.

  • @autonomous2010 I agree

  • the guy is the brother of GLaDOS

  • LOL LOL

  • hell, i scripted my own operation system. it uses 128-bit encryption.

  • Windows does not suck.

  • @zwerty007 It SUCKS!

  • they should use this song when it gets a bsod

  • Can,t wait to finally try linux, I have an old pentium II here which I want to test Puppy linux

  • i heard at the beggining "this is a subliminal message" so i stopped watching

  • FUCK WINDOWS!!!!!!! we win

  • fuck yes! XD that is made of so much win

  • like the music.

  • I Get Paid To Support Windows, I Use Linux To Get The Job Done

  • @MrFief Damn straight! :D

  • @MrFief lol:P

  • @MrFief you must fail at your job then

  • @MrFief I get paid by getting the job done.So i use a mac.I get the job done most of the times but with many glitches...i use windows.I spend more time on setting my pc than getting any job done....i use linux.

  • @MrFief I would say the same as far as getting the job done if it weren't for my ADD, and the unlimited things I can tweak on my linux box :)

  • proof that windows fails :)

  • In Soviet Russia song plays you!

  • Where did you get that picture with the guy climbing the key?

  • i Don't like the start but i like the rest of it

  • wat was the subliminal mesage?

  • Microsoft only addresses Mac vs Pc because they knew that if they mentioned Ubuntu or something else that people would use it and realize that Windows isn't the only operating system that is good

  • Denver Broncos ;)

  • Best thing ever

  • were in this video does the video says what its title is and windows 7 is better cuz you can actually run games on it

  • @sorecorrupted as you can with Linux if done right. Windows 7 runs games BETTER, but that doesn't mean Win 7 is better. It means game developers target Windows more.

  • @sorecorrupted I hate everything about windows, but it runs all my games unlike osx and linux, so I use windows ^-^

  • @TheNomification if u fiddle with wine compatibility it can run some of your games

  • @JeremyB796 My gaming is mainly MMORPGS, and Games Like Maplestory and Aion, Which use gameguard and/or hackshield can't even run on wine. The Virtualbox idea is good though, I've heard other people talk about it, never really got in to it much, but I might try it some time.

  • @TheNomification using a virtualbox isn't too bad that's how I test drove different Linux distros. for my purposes I'll dual boot to use windows for games that I can't get to work in linux using the workarounds. that's about all I'd have it for.

  • @TheNomification or u can us virtualbox by oracle to run a pretty fast virtual machine

  • @TheNomification Have you ever tried Linux-gamers?? Or SuperGamer?? I mean you won't be able to play your games, but at least you'll play games that are native to the GNU/Linux system.

  • Comment removed

  • Ubuntu might not be the best but it's the most complete, hasslefree distro around. The other distros with a few exceptions like Suse or Redhat are in generally semi-finished attempts of an usable Desktop for human guinea pigs and foremost a waste of time.

  • @cr561979 you should try mint, its even more user friendly than ubuntu

  • Linux sucks ITS ALL ABOUT XP!

  • @whitemanwii Well although I am a Linux fan I can say that windows XP is most certainly better than windows Vista or windows 7.

  • @whitemanwii yah right,,,,, XP just barely works, and it still crashes, you Windouche.

  • Btw, ye, Mint takes all good what Ubuntu has and improves the interfaces and it's even better :) But I can't set an LTSP Server on it :(

  • @aliancemd Mint is Ubuntu, Windows edition.

  • SCARY!

  • this is a sublimal message

  • i use win7 and mint9

  • Linux mint 9, I never want to Windows again. I love Isadora.

  • I Like It Dude :)

  • @mysql123456 "because I actually have a job" - so do I, but what has that to do with the personal preference of a certain OS?
