. We train Martial Arts to hopefully learn to protect ourselves. By speaking negatively about other Ninpo Schools, or any other Martial Arts, we cross the line from self-defence to being aggressor. It is my opinion that any kind of Martial Arts training, if it does not damage the health, is good to do.

When Genbukan and Bujinkan people slander the other school they make Ninpo look bad, and they make the spiritual side of Ninpo look hypocritical.

Only once was I in Tanemura Sensei's presence and someone made a negative comment about BujinKan and Sensei Tanemura criticised the person for having a bad attitude and not knowing what they were talking about. Further, when Sensei Tanemura spoke once about Bujin Kan Grandmaster he spoke with respect. I do not understand the hostility. We do the same Martial Art.

I do not know why. When I have trained in Japan with Sensei Tanemurai he has never expressed any such negativity towards BujinKan. Neither have I seen such an attitude expressed by any of Sensei Tanemura's Shihan teachers.

sso im confused, whats the big deal with genbukan vs bujinkan? i do kung fu, and one of my peers is bujinkan, but our kung fu looks closer to genbukan, whats with the conflict, can someone explain to me?

@ItalianMuscle88 hey now... I'm a member of the bujinkan. I'm sorry there is political tension between the genbukan and the bujinkan, but I have a great respect for the genbukan and their traditional teachings. You should be ashamed Aura for your disrespect.
