I love your moc and also the video. First of all because of the subject, the mark IV is a very iconic tank and your moc does it justice. I also like the way you shot the video a lot, the special effects and the perspective. All in all a great video!
Dude, if you could send me some pics of the internal workings, that would be awesome!!! That is an amazing display of creatuvity with lego. Rock on man!!!
@samosammo123 What are you talking about? Germans had ww1 tanks aswell Many of the first british tanks were seen coming at german troops Those troops made many reports and future plans were made for tank traps.. It didn't take much to stop a ww1 tank as slow as they were
yes but the video is proposing that this is a new concept at the time, which it was, so the Germans, when they first saw the tank, would not have known about it and would not have made tank traps, those tanks were good and it would take more than rifle fire to take down one.
@samosammo123 where in or around the video do you see "proposing a new concept"? I guess you missed the fact that this is a MK IV in which case There was a Mark III, Mark II and a Mark I. Meaning the Germans were well aware of tanks and there uses by the time the Mark IV came out in May of 1917 as to the Mark I in 1916
tank traps (Caltrops) began to start being manufactured early into ww2, if you did know anything about military history you wouldn't have replied to my comment.......
@samosammo123 Awsome! Well i'm not here to pull out my History of WW1, WW2, Korea, etc However Your point was : Germans didn't know about British tanks ( Yes they did ) How could they build tanks traps? : Tank traps in 1917 + Were crude as the tanks them selfs ( Digging ditchs, MLE anti char 18 tank mine, Anti tank armor bullets, Anti tank cannon shells. Seeing most tanks top speed was 6 mph There really wasn't a need to "trap" If u didn't want a replied you shouldn't post lies
@Firefox123455 Thanks, this is my own design based off a few pictures I found on the web. I'm afraid I took this apart a while ago so a video of the internal workings is impossible however I have some photos on my Flickr page. My user name is Legokiwi.
@legoackbar The music is 'Cavalry of the clouds', I'm not sure who is performing it though. As for how did I make it, I just found a heap of reference photos on google images and built as closely to them as I could.
Great work on the video. The black and white, and the PERFECT music to accompany it. However, I'm a bit worried about the geartrain. I'd think you could get a lot more speed out of the PF motors... Can you post some pictures of the internal mechanisms on Flickr?
