Did you tape this back in the day, or were you able to find a home video copy of this program?

I recorded it off Oregon Public Broadcasting the second time it aired, sometime when I was on vacation in 1983 I believe. I was 10 years old at the time and prayed that the old Magnavox VCR timer worked correctly and recorded the program when I was away. Thankfully it did! Lucky for all of us, the older VCR's seemed to put a better quality signal on the tapes than some of the newer machines did, plus I protected (all of) my tapes in a fashion to preserve them and get them to DVD ASAP!

The rest of the program from here (similiar to what would be called Part 3 and beyond) delt with the US and what they were up to in trying to develop high speed rail. Mostly boring legal stuff and politics. No good video with the exception of a fleeting shot of Amtrak's San Diegan

and some brief interior shots of the BUDD factory. These two videos show the best of the program.
