It does look fairly boring in the long term, but most arcade games of the time followed the same pattern of limited gameplay, short levels, and very good graphics (Altered Beast, Thunder Fox, etc). This at least shows the C64 to be capable in that genre (though also capable of far more interesting games).
Visuals and audio is first class. Doesn't matter it's short, most good games on c64 weren't that long.
I agree about it being too difficult though. I was checking this out with a trainer a year ago, if I remember correctly I got stuck at the very end in the swimming part. I couldn't figure out controls and after drowning several times just ran out of patience.
Amiga version is quite different in several aspects, but also with cool title music by Deenen of MoN.

Amazing array of well-drawn monsters and has a look and feel to it reminiscent of Hawkeye.
Though what it has to do with fruit juice is anybody's guess lol

WOW. I almost forgot for this game. Nice big sprites and background scroll is great. Of course, sounds and music also.

@einokeino303 I sympathize. I had to search for info on the web to figure out that I had to waggle the joystick to get past the swimming part.
