  • BRUTTISSIMA!!!!

  • NN FA ONORE A ELVIS !!!!!

  • Mr.7notemode,

Your performance does touch the listener's soul. I was listening it all afternoon and could not stop today.

And, I feel that your performance contains classical music styles. This make your performance so unique and elegant.

  • @dreadnoughtknight Thank you so much. I appreciate it.

  • This is a very nice and lovely version of that great tune!*****

May I ask you what signal you hear on your headphones, a click?

    Best regards

    Dave

  • @idaveit No click. I was just monitoring the sound through the mic's

  • @7notemode Beautiful sir, what Piano is that and what mics are you using to mic it? Cheers

  • Steinway & Sons = Perfect sound

  • Very emotional performance. Bravo! I agree with the tutorial request.

  • Sir, this a very good rendition, thank you for that. It sounds like Bach (Gould fan?) Not naive at all but very clear at the same time. Bravo

  • @flyingvlad Thanks!

  • Well played, but I think this is an improvisation based on that classic tune. It would be nice to play it as is.

  • Really great, brother.

  • Having some time to re-visit some older videos - really enjoy your playing on this one immensely.

  • EXCELENTE !!!

  • wow amazing you inspire me to never give up and learn this song

  • I don't know much about the piano.

I do know that I like the way you play this classic.

  • Thanks, Ricar41.

  • Would you give us the honor of posting an instructional on this? That would be amazing. Keep of the spectacular work. I enjoy the song even more now. Thank you.

  • pwguitarded, Thanks, I'll put it on my list!

  • Well, this teaches me to be humble... you are amazing. Please tell me you majored in piano and have years and years of studying behind you... ;-)

  • Ha! Thanks Ericspiano. At least I have years and year of playing behind me. :-)

  • This is a wonderful approach to a pop ballad. Stylistically distinctive, with artistic integrity and substance. This appears to be a "zone" for you, and I really like it! *****

  • Thanks, Joe. Right back at you. You know how much I enjoy your playing, as well.

  • It was very well played, but to be honest I did't like your interpretation. In my opinion..this is suppose to be a sad song...very very sad...and you kind of had a happy go lucky vibe going there...I dunno, just my opinion

  • You're right: it's just your opinion. Music is not "supposed to be" When you're a musician, if you can find something about a tune that touches your heart, you will express those aspects that make it so valuable to you. To you, the lyrics may tell you it's a sad song (to me it's redemtion), but the music itself might say a lot more. To me it's just wonderful that we can listen to a different interpretation, so we can stop being limited by how we think things "should be."

  • Awesome! A friend of mine introduced me to Wayne Thompson, a co-author of this song, and he was a really nice guy that I enjoyed chatting with. He was so modest about his talent that i had to drag out who he had played with. Sadly he passed a few years ago so I am glad his music lives on.

  • dude, did you you 4-5 part harmony?? this sound like a chorale dude. . . love it man

  • Thanks cc17201. I don't really think of it in terms of how many parts I'm playing. I try to create counter melodies and walk between chord changes.

  • Beautiful arrangement! Question- is ther any way you can devote a session on Henry Mancini?

  • Greetings from The Bahamas! This is one of my favorites ballads, being a muscian myself, I can honestly say you did the song justice. From what I see, you plan to do a CD, I look forward to purchasing a copy

  • 7: Super as always. I know you have a gospel side and this piece has a very strong flavor of that seasoning the ballad. Count me as among the "waiters" for the CD issue- great playing is always on my mind.

    -Klav

  • Thanks, Klav.
