  • crossfit is for pussies......squat with weigt dumbass............

  • thats a nice squat

  • i may just like to bash on CF cuz i come from the pl side of things but isnt it funny how the minute she started going "full speed" the "squats" became knee bends instead. in conclusion, i may be petty, but at least i can squat

  • That girl has huge hips, load her up with a barbell and some weights!

    Lift heavy, take a multi

  • I looked at the shoes being used, lol'ed, and went to watch another video.

  • I am a guy does this help ur butt because my mom keeps telling me I have a flat butt

  • @Lionelmessi10fc It works quadriceps, hamstrings and gluts (meaning "butt") specifically. Do 3 or 4 series of 15 a day and you may see a difference in a month or two. ;)

    Oh, and Visca el Barça!

  • @Lionelmessi10fc it does

  • @Lionelmessi10fc do heavy weight squats for ass

  • @Lionelmessi10fc yes it does, lol

  • @Lionelmessi10fc does it??

  • So is this what CrossFit means when they say squats? Or do they want you to do it with weights?

  • "When doing any exercise, technique is more important than intensity." That's as true as it gets

  • To all you folks that posted on here about their credentials and how to squat. All the book learning in the world doesn't do a damned thing until you actually have some time under the bar squatting actual weight and don't reply to me with how great your form is on a 95lb squat and don't give advice until you're properly strong, i.e. 2x's bw or better on your squat raw. Until you reach that level you don't have a clue as to what it takes to squat.

    Point the toes out

  • how far apart are your feet supposed to be when squatting? because when theyre wide i feel as if im not getting enough of a workout but when tre too close together i cant balance myself and end up falling backwards when i go down to squat.

  • Nice demo .... instructor knows the stuff. Good Job

  • I found this guy to be helpful, I just saved 110 bucks per month by watching these video's and going to my local gym. Thanks BrassFit.Com

  • you should never point your toes out. period. if you do your going through the pathof least resistance. this video almost made me vomit seeing how far out this chicks toes were pointing. overactive and underactive muscles lead to cumulative injuries. fix those first before making a video.

-NASM certified personal trainer taught by an ACSM graduate and professional tennis player trainer. beat those creds and ill believe whatever you say.

  • @cjrodman

Thanks man. I've been having trouble with squatting properly. I want to do it but I have to do it right. I had a guy come up to me and tell me I was doing it wrong. I'm not trying to be an idiot walking into a gym and lifting improperly like everyone always bitches about. But it's just hard to do it right if you don't have anyone there showing you how to do it. Should I keep my feet parallel when I do this exercise?

  • @cjrodman Look up Mark Rippetoe, who advocates the toes slightly out as well. Sufficient credentials to satisfy you? That's what I thought. Good to hear you're a believer now.

  • @cjrodman - you should get a refund for those expensive credentials. Either that or you should have been paying attention better.

  • arent u supposed to stop at 90 degrees?

  • @454ffv - The best/safest squat depth is debatable, but what seems to be in fashion right now is the full squat. There's no conclusive research proving one is better/safer than the other. I tell folks to go down as far as their flexibility allows them. Generally, flexibility will increase the more you perform the movement.

  • @454ffv It varies from person to person, but stopping just above or below paralell tends to be more comfortable for people. Stopping at 90 degrees puts a lot of stress on the knees.

  • Her stance felt the best to me. This guy's description was good too.

  • ok,i'mnot to correct anyone-- but i have to say---- rule of thumb fro a X-fit squat----- hips engage first! knees will follow hips, toes out to approx 30degree angle which opens up your hip for a deeper squat...

  • technique=intensity. they told you that at your cert.

  • Mark Rippetoe is a better squat instructor!

  • @RunicznyBejzbol dude its a fuckin squat, its not rocket science

  • @camar044

    lolololol

  • @RunicznyBejzbol Mark Rippetoe is a fatass

  • good instruction but i'm almost positive, that she can squat deeper and her knees should be going all the way out. tell me if i'm wrong

  • bravo!

  • I just graduated a 9 month school to be a personal fitness trainer. Before the school. I did not realize how badly my form was when doing squats.

  • does it matter how fast you do squats?

and what EXACTLY do squats/frog squats do?

  • @mikeyf23 do it at a steady pace trust me... i tried the murph routine... couldnt walk for 2 days lol

  • Thank you so much, this is clear and concise. I'm getting over meniscus injuries and with this squat, I feel little to no pain. Its amazing what good form can do. This will definitely help me in my rehabilitation.

  • Thank you for good, clear instruction. I knew I was not doing something right; I was not keeping weight on my heels.
