hey i love ur videos was just wondering, my teachers at school are saying that i am wearing too much eyeliner, is there a way of having dark eyes but not that much eyeliner
i love this look! i used the exact some techniques you said but I substituted the grays for some of my purples. i recommend Sephora's eyeshadow in "bewitch me" (#69). it's a really pretty dark purple with some red undertones that really show up on yellower skin tones like mine. i hope you give it a try(: thanks for the vid!
I must say, I actually tried this look! With the closest colours I could find. Keep in mind, I don't wear makeup often, but this one was pretty amazing.
And EVERYONE noticed. It was crazy! Haha, thank you!
I really like your videos. I actually just found you today and have watched lots of them so far. I love that you show drugstore products as well as more expensive ones. Some people get so hung up on just using MAC all the time. Your make up is excellent. Oh and I noticed negative comments on the length of your videos and I have to disagree. I like the length, they dont feel long at all.
I absolutely adore your videos. Now every time i go to the cosmetic section of the store, I think to myself "WWEB" or "What whould Emily Buy?" haha, keep them comming
I'm not trying to be mean or harsh but you should relax your face more often when applying makeup because the wrinkles on your forhead are becoming way noticeable....i know it may be difficult to relax the face when applying eyeshadow but the constant tightening of the forehead isn't going to help.
Thanks a lot as usual. Especially for recomending the highlight shade wow- looks fantastic- on my hazel eyes. yeah more looks with 88palettes. :)))))))) please.
That's a beautiful look, with red lips it would work perfect for the holidays. I will need to give it a try, I've had that palette for a while and don't use it enough.
beautiful Emily. this would be great for the holidays. thanks for your videos. i look forward to them and there slowly pulling me out of my makeup rut. so thanks
Heyy I know I like I litterally just posted a comment on one of ur other vids saying what's the point of make up would you help me I kinda changed my mind. It must be the 3rd time I've asked someone for help with makeup lol thankx for the vid!!!
The quality of this video is better than previous ones, did you get a new camera or it's just the lighting? Either way, congrats for the improvement, we now get to see everything better!!
Great look!! Again, thanks for all of your reviews/tutorials as I have learned so much from you in such a short time. Easier to learn by watching someone apply makeup than to read it in a magazine.
I like it. I tried grey on my eyes before but I think it kind of looks 'blah' on me, so I used more of a brown-ish, darker green color and it looked beautiful! :D Thanks!
I love your videos. It isn't always about 'MAC' this and 'MAC' that... thanks for making videos the rest of us can afford to create.
I keep wondering why you never use eyeliner on your waterline/tightline. Is it because of allergies? I am curious because I love to waterline my eyes but in a few min. after that, my eyes get red and irritated. any suggestions? Thanks for the video.
Some people, like myself, have a hard time putting strange things in their eyes. I can't even wear my contacts anymore and lining my waterline makes my eyes feel dry and irritated. I don't think there's a way to get around that.
Also, when you line your waterline, it closes the space within your eye and makes you bottom lid appear larger, which can make your eyes look baggy/tired. I didn't realize that until I started lining under my lashes instead. Give it a shot, you may prefer it. :D
@1sr0 I do line my waterline in some tutorials. sometimes i feel like it makes my eyes look a little closed-in and small, but it does work with certain looks that i do. I would imagine it could definitely cause irritation for some people since it's so close to the eye itself
Great Look............ I don't mean to be nosey but are you expecting? You've had a special look about you lately - like that maternal glow everyone talks about.
Hi Emily, Great tutorial!!! I like the Lash Blast Mascara, but what kind of eye makeup remover do you use to get it off? because I have a hard time with it not coming off. Thank
I know this question was to Emily but thought I'd give my 2 cents. Lash Blast is great. I use regular and waterproof. I've tried many expensive makeup removers but the best one for me is Walmart's brand exfoliating makeup remover wipes for about $7.
oh, it's great that you changed the lighting, because your tutorials are really good, but with the old lighting every make up looked exactly the same and yo could only see the difference (and the colours) on the photos.
Your blush always seems to be perfect. I can't seem to apply mine evenly on both sides of my face. It always comes out top heavy on one side. I'll keep working on it though.
I enjoy watching your videos, thank you for them. Your reviews, beauty tips are very informative, helpful and detailed. But as far as make up tutorials go, the looks are always to much similar to each other. You always wear a black or dark liner on your bottom lash-line, and on the top as well. Don't get me wrong, i understand that it flatters you and that you do what you like and want.Don't you want more diversity? I, as your viewer would want that a lot.
@Vileksa I'm sorry, but I don't always do my tutorials the same. With more than 300 videos, I have a lot of different styles. It's true that I do some techniques more than others- but it's partially because I go with what I believe ends up looking the best
I have very dark brown eyes and I've been trying to use grey shadows a lot lately since they are "in" this season... however I think the grey really doesn't work with me... don't know if it's my dark eyes or olive undertones but I just look washed out :( Pretty look though!
Put the grey...with some pink...or peach or blue..or brown..-whatever goes with the color grey..but center it over your eyeball..Like if u look straight ahead..right above there..dab a color that is bright or warm...and it will change it all together..allowing u to use grey..but with some spice..~ Focusing the gray to outer V~ and off the center of your eye..
Hi emily. I know you're getting mixed reviews but I really like this lighting a lot. It does seem to show the true colors better. Thanks for trying something different, I think it worked out.
I'll definitely have to try this look. I recently got the 88 warm palette from bhcosmetics which is the same as the coastal scents one and I havent done as much with it as Id like to. I'm glad your doing more looks with it.
I liked this tutorial more than your previous ones because of the lighting. In natural light, it's so much easier to see what the real colors are of the different shadows you're using. In your previous tutorials, the lighting was washing the colors out, making it hard to see their true color. I know it's not always convenient or easy to do tutorials in the daytime, but the result looks so much better.
Hi Emily, I love your videos, but I don't like the transitions. They always cut off in the middle of your last sentence. Perhaps you should revise your transition times.
ooh i love it!!! very appropriate day to night! love it! so gorgeous!!!! thank you so much!!! i really need to invest in that palette already! have a beautiful weekend!
And yes, with regard to the lighting in this video being much better that the previous videos, I second that! The colors look much more vivid in this vid!

She made a video comparing several and she said this was her favorite. But she has used all sorts of primers in other videos.
