I had the privlege of meeting Gen. Petraeus in early 2004 while he was in command of the 101st ABN DIV. At the time I was a PFC in the 1/320th FA. He actually came to meet us as we were coming off the plane @ FTCKY. He shook all of our hands and then ate lunch w/ us. One of the best division commanders the 101st has had, IMO. First, Olbermann made a strong argument: Bush can't complain about his general being the victim of political attacks when Bush HIMSELF made Petraus a political figure by using him as a spokesman for the war.
