@ProGuitarShopDemos When Andy (or Gavin) uses overdrive pedals with the Tone King Imperial does he use them on the rhythm or the lead channel. Thanks in advance.
@henry12350 Your average pickups use pole magnets any were from 6 to 12 magnets normally depending on if you are using a single coil, p90, or humbucker. A rail or blade magnet is one long magnet that goes under all the strings normally there are only 1 or 2 again depending of the style of pickup. Rail magnets are supposed to give you more frequencies from string to string do to the simple fact that they run under all the strings and the spaces in between. Personally I like traditional pickups.
Nice demo, Gavin. I really dig the tron pickups...no others sound quite like them. And to the folks claiming everything at PGS is too expensive....are you not on the mailing list?? They have great deals on some great gear. I think half of my board is PGS purchases right now...maybe a third.
....and no, I do not work for PGS, but, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.
@Andy8Tran No, I am talking about this video. The guy who always plays in these videos you know, because if you watch closely you clearly see he never plays with a pick. I think you are confused because he cut his hair. Are you inane or something?
It looks like a corricidin bottle. Old cough medicine. The bottle was pretty well adaptable for slide. Many of the old masters used it in the delta style. I believe that Robert Johnson was among them. I know that Duane Allman used one.

Good job bro. Sweet ass guitar too. Good point on the blades picking up the bends better. Sometimes I feel like my signal cuts when I bend notes really hard on my strat. Is that because I'm bending the notes past the pickup posts?
@TwoBucksShy i one read this great book on achieving great guitar sound. And the gut said rail pickups definitely hold the volume more while bending just like active pickups but those loses of volume and stuff like that are details that make your playing more personal and more lively
@SomethingCleverable The first song is the Rolling Stones "Rocks Off" the second is Jimi's"manic depression" so I'm guessing the little bottle neck number at the end is the Black Keys ? ( I'm not familiar with their music).
Anyone else want to see more of Gavin in the videos? Him and Andy make a great combo for demos
