What are the differences between Dublin accents(Emma and John here) and Saoirse's one? How can they be described?

@TickleMeElmo55 well, i think its just the difference between the tone of voice & pronunciation. Emma has a south county dublin suburban accent like me, Saoirse has a carlow-midlands accent, & john seems to have a mix between a north dublin and midlands accent. Basically, south county dublin accents arent as harsh & have lighter pronunciation, inner city dublin accents tend to be harsh and have a sharper tone, north dublin accents are a mix between a city and a midlands accent. hope this helps!

Cool. Thanks for the clarification. Do you live in Ireland? But what does that play out to since I just saw another video with Saoirse asking for donation for the Irish Arts Foundation, or something like that, and one of the comments said that he was confused by her accent since she's from Carlow, but recognized it being a Dublin accent. Maybe she was asked to speak in a Dublin accent? Maybe the comment was mistaken?

I guess it could be because saoirse travels to dublin alot, cuz its the capitol and all and she travels to other countries to film and the main airport is in dublin, and usually if the interviewer has a strong dublin accent, i guess its common to copy it in a way? Just an idea, since i havent even seen that interview! xx :P

Thank you SO much for spending the time to respond. That helps me understand a bit better! What part of Ireland are you from? Most of the people I know who have Irish blood, their parents are from the west - Cork, Kerry, Mayo etc.

I know its hard 2 understand because there's so many different irish accents, like you mentioned, Cork Kerry and Mayo and some other larger counties tend to have their own veriation of the irish accent aswell! It seems like it BUT just by judging from this video it's clear that Saoirse and Emma have different personalities. It's the same with my friend and I. I have more of a bubbly personality while my friend is a lot more serious in general and we get along. For all we know Emma may have had a serving of sugar before this interview while Saiorse may have been tired. It's just different personalities, that's all : )
