I still wonder how the Scots could be seduced by a quack like John Knox to reject the earthly church militant and succumb to the delusion of being part of the triumphant church in their lifetime; and one can see the difference in the outcome: When Scotland needed a king to fight against Edward I of England, the Catholic bishops did chose Robert the Bruce, who destroyed the English army at Bannockburn; but the Covenanters did chose King Jesus against Cromwell and were defeated at Dunbar!

@acerb45666555, I was there a few years ago but I don't honestly remember what was on the walls. The ceiling however, was covered with coats of arms. Stirling Castle is a fantastic place for a trip back in history.
