@maercats rifle with more ammo? its a damn light machine gun it depends on the rate of fire. you could say the damn m2 machine gun is a sniper rifle with more ammo if you wanted. its about the rate of fire and the amount of ammunition that makes it a machine gun you dumbass.

@TheGarrettDressler Its actually surprisingly accurate. It shoots the same round and is about the same length of the M4 (depending on what kind of barrel you have attached to it). Shooting it in short bursts, you can reach out quite far, unlike in most video games where the SAW is this fire hose of a gun.
6 to 8 rounds per burst or 8 to 12 rounds per burst. Depends on how much fire you want to put out. Along with a barrel change every 200 rounds , with plenty of lube and it'll never fail you !

0811, with a secondary as an 0331, belive me I know very well the belt feds in use by MY corps.
The M240 Bravo, Golf, and Echo all have slower rates of fire and as you saide for the larger 7.62mm NATO , while the SAW has a higher rate of fire and fires the smaller 5.56mm NATO. Ya sure it will jam, and it goes through ammo FAST, Just take care of it and chances are will work when needed.
@TVfanfanatic This particular variant (I think) is around 9kg or 20 pounds loaded, the full sized 249 weighs 10kg or 22 pounds. It could be the M249 "Para", or the M249 Special Purpose Weapon, but there isn't great view of the front.
As for ease of holding it up in the standing...the vertical grip helps, a lot.

@GroundHogOnARock No its not. 600 yards is tricky with a SAW. Not nearly as good of a machinegun as the 240. Every SAW I've ever shot was a piece of shit, if you got through 100 rounds without a jam you'd be lucky. We'd wear our hands out from having to clear jams constantly. I hate that damn gun.

I love shootin the saw, I've been assigned one for the last 7 months at my unit, and to be honest most of the reliabilty issues you hear from in these are from user error, I had a lot at first but once you get used to using it it's really very reliable. if you take care of your gear it'll take care of you... couldntask for a better gun really.

@shitparagraf129a. The SAW, by defenition, is a machinegun because it is chambered for a "rifle cartridge". Likewise, the .223 is a cartridge made for hunting and not to be confused with the NATO round 5.56, as the two are slightly different.
