this vid was brilliant! where are you guys based? I could really use fighters like you in these movies I'm making! that was really well done and when the winner suddenly ran off I expected another car to be following you! keep up the good work!
Thats awesome stuff mate. A long, fluid fight scene like that is incredibly hard to pull off but you nailed it.
I only have two thoughts for improving. One, the sound effects were a little much at times. honestly i thought every time you were twisting an arm it sounded like it was being broken. Maybe tune them down a little.
Two, the ending was a little weak. We had epic fighting but then just kinda a let-down strangling. I think it could have been a more powerful kill/KO.
Hey, guys! This was awesome! Can you give me pointers on how to do a choreographed fight for a public event? I study under Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan and Qinna and I can picture myself executing some similar moves.
@snakethemack Thanks for your comment! I would say keep your choreography simple, rehearse it many times so its fluid. Fill gaps in the fluidity with reactions or more moves and really work on making it look like each move, block and attack has intention! Hope it goes well!
Dude wicked is there going to be part 2 but somemore in it the song is alright also best part scene I c was 0:54-1:10 and as well secene dodgeing part 2:40-2:47 and a big come back was scene 2:50-3:00 and a question do you spar by anychance to keep up on ur fighing style
@01marth Thanks for your comment. I have a video currently being edited. The practice vid for it is on my page, Its called 'Kung Fu Action Chick' Its one I choreographed but i'm not the main fighter in it but I think you will like it so stay tuned.
And yes, Im always sparring and regularly keep up the practice.
very very good choreography. I'm trying to create a short vampire/werewolf fight with my brother and in just thirty minutes of practice we were winded. this is amazing and your throws are very good as well. I was really impressed with the horizontal 360 spin. You guys are awesome without doubt.
AWESOME! It was WAY better than the first.. in stance work and everything... there are a "few' places where the camera angle if different would have looked more like a hit instead of a close hit, but 100% better. I loved the shoe print on the wall.. made for a good dramatic "wow that was a nearly deadly kick" effect!
@martialartssucks02 I loved this track when I was playing Onimusha, thats why I used it. thanks, im glad you liked the vid.
It didn't take too long to put it together. I put the choreography together in my head and had a couple of rehearsal hours and shoot time was 8hours over two days. I was happy with the end result but there will be better scenes coming in the near future.
the audio fx needs more work. if u want to deliver the the excitement, try putting more speed into the choreography and some nice tkd trick kicks. like jump back kick, butterfly kick then side kick. ive seen many double kicks, but add more combos to bring in the flavor. the transitions were too much. u shud improve ur fighting sequence to be longer so that the choreography is legitimate nd the arms. the arms were sloppy in my pov. hope this helps
Very nice. The shoeprint @ 1:24 is a great touch. The cheesy old school sound effects definitely add to the entertainment value, but this kind of work at a faster speed would be way better than the crap fight scenes in all those Sci-Fi Channel B action movies. Good work!
These ones I recorded and edited them off an old jackie chan film..
You can also make some if you got a mic to record you hitting some objects to get the sound you want. There are also editing programs that come with sound effects but I haveen't come across any of these yet
I like you guys style, yet this video was dangerously too SLOW. There is little contact as well as a lack in fluidity. Also learning to take falls and bumps would also help. Great effort I liked the one in the park better though.
cool man, though one thing about your vids they could do without the the sound effects, just think on what noses would happen during a real fight. the whole punches and kick sounds are usually made when someone is using heavy or hard clothes and when they punch it makes a sound because of the wind, like in my tea kwan do class our gi made a woosh sound if we swung hard enough.
you guys aRE GOOD BUT U JUST DONT SELL IT GOOD ENOUGHT UR MOVES REALLY LOOKED CHOREOGRAGHED its to slow and they dont connect good enough but well thought of keep it up and u guys will get better
Some of the moves feel held back and not as sharp but I dig the choreography. Also think there could have been a few better choices in angles. There was some nice kicks in there. Some of the editing could have been a little tighter. Also a couple of hits don't connect. Lastly you need some better sfx.
Still there were some good moments in this. Keep it up.
That...was awesome!!! A great progress! I liked your improved fluidity, and the choke-out ending. You can't forget props to the camera man for steady hands and not trying to go for abstract angles. Now may I ask what are your influences? Let Li? Jackie Chan? Jason Statham? It be interesting to find out your roots...
Jackie Chan is my main influence. His choreography is on another whole level, because of how he merges fighting with movement and comedy.. Howeve Jet li, sammo hung, donnie yen and various other hong kong cinema flicks influence me.
One question: why aren't you guys in Hong Kong or Hollywood? Ya'll got skillz! This video was off da' chi-zane! I'm tell you, ya'll could be gettin' paid doin' stuntwork or choreography type stuff!
not bad, just a couple of suggestions.
