I was teaching myself assembler on my old amiga... just the basics...that was 20 years ago lol...Now I've started learning C++ and I think it helped a bit having learned a little assembler years ago...great stuff!!
Such interesting things you can do with the blitter. Makes you wonder if we can create some really cool effects on the PC by simulating some sort of super blitter, using mmx instructions...
Thanks Dodge. I wish I had released some of the stuff I coded back then but I was too critic about the quality of it. I'm frequently on the ADA as "ZEROblue".

Very cool. Where can we get your source code to experiment with?

great stuff. I would give a leg for your OCS routines.
Nevertheless I invite you to join the most active Amiga scene/coding community online:
ada . untergrund . net (remove spaces)
All the cracks as well as the rookies are there.
Also it contains a huge asortment of Amiga demo/intro productions.

Wow... Is this on a Amiga 500, or a later model?
Steril707 3 years ago
The Commodore logo effect requires an A1200, everything else will run on an A500.
RJLeffmann 3 years ago
Hmm, effect number two with those commdore-logos remind of Ray of Hope II...are you one of the coders behind that demo?
allah4ever 3 years ago
Sorry no. I saw this effect long time ago in an intro called "Lola" by Fresh Prince, and I just had to code one myself.

Assembler coding is allowed on modern ultra fast processors already. ;)

Amiga will live forever. I am always hoping a new Amiga will be released that will allow assembler coding with modern ultra fast processors.
