In my opinion it's all about preference. I'm a bass player. Why? Is it any easier than guitar? No of course not. To be extremely advanced takes much more talent than just being your average bassist. Playing Guitar Hero and then going to Bass is all for fun. In my opinion people do waste time if all they do is GH rather than the real thing after two or so years.

but when you play the guitar, there are a lot more sounds you can make, you can play at any speed and you really feel the music

This kid has music in just about all of it's aspects down pat... You have raised the bar mind blowing talent, with your multiple skills.. Now just try to incorporate your double reed instrument (didn't want to say the name of it, cause it could surprise peeps if you actualy pulled it off-- i know- i'm kidding myself) or more or your other instruments, in with this type of production and make it work. I mean, what else is next. Something wayy out there.. The talent is there. I'm sure of it.

Guitar feels more awesome to play, but guitar hero is fun...

The learning curve for a guitar is more than time consuming. and i gotta say... Just for me to play "master of puppets"get the tabs.. etc., and do it in GH metallica in 8 minutes, is less of a hastle... besides i love the guitar as an instrument... But to spend 400 bucks just to get a mediocre sound is kinda... Time and money consuming, there both great.. just accept them.

Well, he may move his fingers like shit fast, but in fact just tryin' to learn to control all the strings and the frets properly or tryin' to play a full song perfectly on a real guitar is way more hard than playing, for example, Through The Fire And Flames on expert. Or try to compare two videos: one showing the TTFAF chart and the other showing someone playing that song with a real guitar.
