i have tryed to install microsoft visual studio C# 2008 for a week now i have i vista it will not install, i start the installation up and it goes throgh the it says it cannot install a bunch files and asks to make a shortcut, i have tryed to start as admin and it doesent help at all.

There is no desktop icon when you install VS2008. You need to go to the Windows SART button and look for Microsoft Visual Studio.
