At the time this was filmed (1961), Jack WAS staging his show before a live audience, at Desilu; in his previous 1953-59 filmed episodes, those were filmed without an audience (at McCadden [General Service Studios] and Revue), and a laugh track was used. However, Benny eventually insisted whether he was performing on film, tape or "live", he wanted a live audience. In 1962, the filmed episodes moved production to Universal.
