i was like 9 when this movie came out,and when the trailer would come on tv durring a commercial it would scare the hell out of me.but i still saw in the movies anyway.this is the perfect horror film.i like rob zombie but he should not have remade this film.you don't mess with perfection it's that simple.
You can't improve on horror perfection. Rob Zombie was nuts to do a remake. This is John Carpenter's brain child, his masterpiece...if anything, he should have focused on redoing the horrible sequels...actually Halloween 2 wasn't that bad. However, 3 on up were dreadful and not in a good way lol.
i was born in 1967, & i remember seeing the trailer in 1978. the 1st 2 halloween movies seemed realistic and frightening. subsequent sequels made it seem as if myers & loomis were superhuman creatures who would battle each other forever. the fact that m. & l. survived the horrendous hospital fire that happened near the end of halloween ii was bizarre. even if m. could handle such a fire, it was incredible that l. could survive it. seems that the producer kept m. & l. alive for to please fans.

If Michael was six years old when he killed his sister, and the movie happens fifteen years after... he was 21 years old. Pretty young.
