Actually, this comic is not inspired by WoW, not completely at least, it's inspired by the Fantasy genre overall. The creators haven't even played WoW.

It's not though, Lar has a FAQ on the LICD site saying it was mostly based off fantasy book series like Wheel of Time.

...he would probably not make millions like DC and Marvel does, most people would probably not buy it because most of the Jokes are WOW related, it would already cost him over 1 million to get some artist to draw and then get it poplished since to make those money he would need to get one magazene done every month while he max makes 5 maby 6 pages every month so i doubt he could make millions by selling this, and most people like it since its free good comics

he could make a lot more. Publish in an already existing magazine and after popularity and money are gained then make your own. He is the artist so he doesn't have to pay for one. if he did this as a job instead of a hobby he could make a lot more pages. He really could make a lot out of it.

if he puplished in a magazene that would cost money, if he had to make one himself after the money was gained that would be possible but it would take years, if he then could draw more pages that would mean he had to find and pay people to could draw the exact same while if he did it alone it would probably take all his private time...

Yes, that will cost money but then again he could get a bank loan. and yes it will take years before he has his own magazine.

yes, not to bust ya bubble but its pretty hard when not even half of them live in america, and for those who do live far beetween, and i get the feeling that for new comers not many are gonna buy this first day... would you have bought a comic magazene you had never heard off + since the jokes are so WoW related not many are gonna get half of the jokes + i doubt you would have gone whatching this comic if it had cust you money from the start - not everyone reads this + hed shut the O-comic down.

How are any of the jokes WoW related? It's a standalone world, and not related to WoW in any way. It STARTED as something of a paroty of WoW, but by the next page it's drastically different.

You misunderstood me. When I said he does this FAST I meant being able to have a page ready for updates. From Monday to Thursday that's only two days and from Thursday to Monday it's three. Normally for people it would take much longer, having to stick to weekly updates just to get a page done.

You have to remember that he does LICD at the same time, and it updates 7 days a week. Combined with LFG thats 9 pages a week

Why is this a color strip the art really pops more as line art w/ spot blacks. Color as it's being used only decentralizes my eye on the comic.

Generally speaking, the only way to get a popular webcomic is with color. There are exceptions, but for the most part viewers seem more attracted to pretty colors.

Still, excellent Line-work is not the be-all end-all of art.

I'm pretty sure the average time for Lar is 5 hours, though don't quote me. He's taken well over a day when he has to do an "epic" shot and has to make it up from scratch. Kethenecia, for instance. Sohmer I can't speak for, but I know a *lot* of thought and time goes into each script. Perfectionists. Go figure. I love 'em. :)
