Father Don Calloway on Harry Potter, Means and Ends

I'm not sure if Fr. Donald Calloway has read the Harry Potter books or not. Admittedly, Harry does lie a lot but overwhelmingly his actions are righteous. In the final book, for example, Harry refuses to use the killing curse- even on Lord Voldemort- and the themes of good vs. evil pervade all seven books

(79-81) I have wtnessed the worst this "culture of death" has put out there. Neo-paganism is rampant in todays society. You see the signs of it everywhere. Where sin abounds, the grace of God abounds even more. Pray. God have mercy on us all. We need it in this dark age.

Thanks very much for posting this! Definitely an issue that concerns me...I have tried to explain to my kids the difference between HP and LOTR. This is a great explanation.
