I think it was that the original owner abandoned him for other reasons than appearance; perhaps it had less time for a pet. Then, from maltreatment the dog's white fur became stained around its eyes and maybe feet, so when this man found him, he dyed some of his fur black to mimic a panda. I thought he painted him that way to make him appealing to buyers.

My boyfriend is Chinese, grew up in the countryside. He loves dogs. Just because SOME people do something against western morals doesn't mean that they all do it. Doesn't mean that it's wrong either. Why would it be any different to eat a sheep than a dog? They can also be tamed and taught tricks, trust me, I've had a pet sheep.

Was CNN biased against this practice? Meat is meat. A dog is an animal with edible muscles just like a cow is to the Hindu.
