MLK's expansion to the Vietnam issues and many other international issues, led to his assassination. His entry into these international arena's were the last straw. He was a threat to the Money to be made from the war. Oh a lone gunman shot him dead. Really! Please!!
Thank you for posting this, and the other things you post. We lose the humanity of public figures in the haze of time, and forget the fullness of their philosophy and efforts. The Reverend Doctor was a human being, with many concerns regarding social justice, and we forget that in favor of a one trick crusader.
amazing.. so good to look back and see what the man said himself about what he wanted for his legacy. with so many politicians trying to claim allegiance with him, even as they attempt to eliminate the civil rights act or the minimum wage..
You are very kind, and very welcome. Believe me, it's an honor to post such videos as a small contribution to allowing history to speak for itself rather than being spoken for by people in my profession. I have the honor to be
These words are so important to hear and to understand the profound implications. Social change and evolving human conditions always give us a place to use these words. Today it may be found in the voiceless homeless people on the streets, the struggle for marriage equality, and the continuing effort to eliminate the negative impact of racism. Thank you Dr. King, thank you.
I'm shocked again to receive a civil post from someone who appreciates history and Dr. King's contributions to it, rather than the hateful, racist spoutings of someone who needs to get a life. You're very welcome.
Wow. This is the first CIVIL comment that anyone has posted in weeks! I've been compelled to delete all kinds of racist drivel, which makes me wonder where this country is going. Thank you, and you're very welcome.
@pauldarwinlee - Thank you for sharing this awesome video. Fast forward to today and try to imagine how things might be different had he lived to fight another day and inspire others to know the truth.
You see streets named after him in almost every major city across America and his name touted around all kinds of issues few of which actually stand for his vision.
Forced segregation is bad. Allowing people to live where they want is fine with me. Yet, corporate supremacist denying opportunities from people of color is evil. Supremacists equating legitimate respect for black history to racism is wrong. Supremacists wanting blacks to be mental house slave reactionaries is also wrong.
Once again, you are wrong. The truth is that learning about black history in a month or year round is not racism. It's purely about black people learning about their culture and heritage in a legitimate fashon. Also, all people need some assistance in life. Using real assistance isn't about denying others. It's about providing minorities and the poor opportunities (since not all peoples live in the exact same fashion all of the time)..
I think Martin heard the echoes of malcolm and took a stand against poverty and economic injustice and the war if the gov can spend billions on war ,the gov can spend money on fixing problem that racism caused because the gov is the reason for racism and America wouldve been so advanced or Americans would be living in paradise if they hadn't wasted so much time enslaving the black man now
Civil rights granted by the government is related to freedom since for centuries private institutions enacted corrupt avenues to suppress the God-given rights of blacks and others. So, the people (making up the government) had no choice, but to add new laws to make freedom more avaliable for all citizens. Making new laws to help human beinga via Congress is constitutional.
The government is of and by the people. The government granting people legal protections isn't immoral. It's immoral if the government violates human rights or acts in corruption. That is why we use policies to make government protect our and our safety net, while trying our best to prevent the government from acting totalitarian. If the government is by and for the people, it should be eliminated of corporate infiltration.
I don't tolerate rants on my channel. Nor do I tolerate the implicit racism of references to "you people." Please keep you attitude to yourself, or take it elsewhere. If you bring it here again, your post will be deleted and you will be blocked from offending anyone else on this channel.

being granted civil rights by goverment, is not freedom.. you people need to get a grip on reality and realize some things.. slaves are granted rights from their governors.. civil rights are rights the goverment decides its citizens will have.. you people need to stand up for your human rights.. if youre going to submit to the rule of goverment, stop calling yourselves free
What about Subjects of this new world order putting their shit on civilians families. Think it won't happen guess again. It happened to Black me and my family including my five month old. Skull and cross bones shit. No one is safe. Roman Catholic 's sitting at the front of the table.

Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote in his autobiography:
"The Republican Party geared its appeal and program to racism, reaction, and extremism."
That was his description of the 1964 Republican National Convention. He also referred to the Republican convention as "the frenzied wedding at the Cow Palace of the KKK with the radical right."
Thank God for Dr Martin Luther King!!!

Freedom is granted in an unalienable fashion, but that isn't an excuse to withhold public services to help the poor or anyone suffering in society.

We should have kept the troops home from Korea and Vietnam and let them kill the commies here first.
