Would you re-think some of the things you have just said? Race, religion, beliefs, products and where they are manufactured: they shouldn't matter in a time like this. To this day children are still born with defects due to radiation, and many parts of Hiroshima are restricted and blocked off due to residual radiation. They took several lifes, and sunk many great ships of the US, but what we did to them was catastrophic on a scale Pearl Harbor cannot begin to compare to. @bigmeech954 Japan has had it's share of major quakes, and I don't think this is even the worst they've had in the past few decades. It is no sign of the 2012 garbage being true, quakes have happened as long as the worlds existed. It's nothing new, but it's still tragic when it hits a densely populated area, regardless of what country it might be in.

The casualty list isn't the highest though, the last major earthquake took 100,000 lives because they were unprepared however - the tsunami and the quake plus the nuclear reactor issues are making the situation escalate to a very high level. The quake has been measured as a 9.0 now - one of the biggest quakes ever on record.

There rescue is taking time because the roads are still flooded and damaged. The only way to help is by helicopter. All TV channels are showing about the quake. Many people feeling hopless and searching for their family. Right now saw mother and child been rescued.

Although such a severe disaster happened, the victims are helping each other , and a riot or pillage have not occurred at all.
Neither the police nor an army needs to spend time on maintenance of public order, and they can concentrate on rescue and restoration.
Is there any citizen who has morals like them?

From Yokohama Jpn. Far from quake center but we also had a strong quake.
The biggest quake I experienced in my whole life.
Electricity and gas was dead for 10 hrs here. Radio was a great help.
Never seen the city go blackout and people rushing to CVS for food and water.
Mobile phones were useless.Didn't know the level of disaster until the electricity came back.Still having fairly strong aftershocks. Expecting 1700 people dead.
Just exhausted. Like to say a prayer for all the casualty
