  • You must check first if the patient suffers from post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. If so, we give them a special cream for 4 weeks and then things are usually OK at lower settings

  • Yes, it is indeed painful if you cannot give a regional block as in the neck area.

  • Active FX is very painful. You can see the patient wince.

  • We often give local nerve blocks to help with the pain. Yes, indeed the white marks are 'eschar' literally skin that has been burned off.
