man-these guys mustve had a stick up their asses-and my 96 continental treats me perfectly-paid $500 10,000 miles,no break downs-and she shits and gets man
@michaldeville actually this car stops alot faster than your standard rear wheeler if you know how to drive FWD properly... Most women don't understand you can't force the front wheels to do three things at once *( powering, braking and steering the car ) so they have trouble. Sissy boys who can't drive boats like this also suck @ driving front wheelers.
If you limit the strain on them, they are not bad. Your name has deville in it , which is a premiere front wheel drive car, numbnuts.
@michaldeville why are you driving an ancient piece of cow poo like that... real devilles, the 90's series , are front wheelers. those are the only devilles that even exist to me. The others are a fabrication of the collective imagination of everyone wishing it were anything else. Why would I buy some "japan grap" as you call it, like a honda or toyota>? I own a 98 Continental. I love my car.
@michaldeville say what you want, I don't mind. I love my car, and I will drive it until it either dies in some sort of crash or fiery explosion, or bankrupts me to the point I have no money for gas... You have no clue bout cars though cause a deville, no matter what year it is, is a pile of shit.
They break down more than any other car on the road today. At least if you take care of a lincoln , it will take care of you, in return.
@michaldeville wow stop being an asshole lmao. flaming via keyboard makes you look like a geek. at least make a constructive conversation and agree to disagree if you wish but stop being do damn ignorant.
@michaldeville and I happen to prefer a front wheel car over a rear wheel car due to the fact it is completely devoid of a crankshaft, which entitles it to a completely flat floor panel. That means no stupid fucking hump in the middle of floor, forcing some dick ridin bitch in the back to bring his knees up to his fuckin chin. The reason the crown vic is SO BIG , along with the other cars on the panther platform , is cause they have crankshafts. They need to be huge or you have NO ROOM in it
lol i have the 1996 continental and plugs.... well they are easy.. the motor site up high..... about everything else is hard to get to.... and that is deceiving to pple when they want to drag at a light ;)
If that car is FWD v8 and a unibody then I assume its tightly packed under the hood I have a 97 grand marquis and its easy and quick to service. i dont wanna know w/ changing spark plugs on a fwd behind the engine is like
I had a Lincoln Cont. They are a true bitch to service. Any I have seen are 3.8 L V-6. But they may make a V-8. Not sure. I had the rear bank of my plugs go bad, and the machanic had to take the throttle body and rear head off to replace them. I got rid of it soon after that, and LOL I traded it off on a 96 Grand Marquise. And like you they are easy to repair. Changeing the lugs is a nightmare. Cost me $35.00 for the plugs and $ 250.00 labor. I nearly shit myself when I got he bill.
that sure is the truth!!, I had a 92 Lincoln Cont. years ago. It was a bitch to change the plugs with a sideways v-6. I have a 2001 towncar Cartier now. The plugs are a bitch on this one to. Had to a machanic do it. My socket was way to short. They go down in the heads similar to a hemi style engine.
hahaha that is hilarious. for one the pavement is wet. but thats no excuse i have the same car. it will do a burn out. all its balls are from about 0-30. that car dosnt have shit. although it will takea mark 8 off the line thats for sure. i own one of those too :)
0-30 continental owns mark! the mark accelerates after 15-30! 3.07 to high for 4r70w. wide ratio transmission which is in the mark. continental more geared for quick off the line.. unlike the mark
They are both slow off the line But the Mark VIII would be faster off the line, since its a RWD.(better traction) They both wake up near 30 MPH. (when the IMRCs open up)
That must be some driver to get a 15.8 in a Mark VIII
not to mention they are front wheel drive... any FWD car will peel wheel across any parking lot...the Intec 4.6 is an awesome motor and the continentals where awesome cars
not for sure either or but they still are huge vehicles. they really are no compition to alot of other vehicles. i stand behind the motor fully but its just too much weight fellas
you must not know what the 2nd gen mark viii have stock under the hood... and i can tell you. i havent come across a rice burner that doesent back down after they find out.
a burn out is easy to do when its wet but keep that up and you will be most definitely shelling out 1200 to 1800 for a rebuilt transmission especially a front wheel drive.

It sucks.
DAMN, this thing sounds EXACTLY like a V8 SHO!!!! I swear, I'm doing a swap...
Shrike2415 4 years ago
Same style motor, 32-valve V-8 like the Yamaha motor in SHO's. Engine looks very similar too.
sgtdisturbed47 2 years ago
I'm saying though, for 1.2 liters difference in displacement, it still sounds almost exactly the same.
