Paul says Romans 7 that his "law is holy, just and good". He explains clearly in verse 7 "What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Wow you really misunderstand. Read all of Romans 7 so Paul could help clear it up for you. Paul keeps the law and tells us it is to SHOW US our sins so that we would see the need for our savior Jesus Christ. The law that is not to be kept in which Paul talks about is the Ceremonial Laws. We obviously don't do that anymore but now the devil is trying to use that to take away God's law. If what you say is true then Jesus lied when he said he had not come to "abolish but to fulfill".
Paul keeps the law? "I do the things I don't want to and that which I don't want to do, that I do". I don't remembering anything in Romans 7 (or anywhere else in the book) where it specified "ceremonial" law.
You misread what I say just like how you misread the bible. I never said in Romans 7 Paul talks about Ceremonial laws. He does however talks about it in Col.2 and in Galations. These are "a shadow of things to come". Paul says it was nailed to the cross but because he uses the word Sabbath people get confused and use it to mean God's Sabbath day. Remember there are many ceremonial sabbaths stated in Leviticus. Please read more about ceremonial laws.

Yes that's exactly right BUT the law is not obsolete. That's where you're wrong and no there is no scripture to back it. Your opinion clashes with what Paul talks about. He thanks God for the law and tells us in detail how the spirit helps keep it within us that we might not sin. The holy spirit CONVICTS you of what you're doing is WRONG if you kill someone, lie, etc. They all go hand and hand.

Exactly I know the aegument without wathcing the vids. Thanks to many evangelicals most of the populations feeel that all Christian branches believe in this non sense called the rapture. To present Christ as anything but that person who taught that God loves everyone, and in particular, the unlovable, is an injustice to his message. I don't care if you believe in the rapture or not, fear and trembling of judgement and hellfire is no reason to believe in God.

I agree with you- I believe in God, because I have always. I don't spread the word on fear...but if I meet someone that doens't quite believe I inform them about the prophecys that have been fullfilled- and exspecially I inform them about the introduction of the Verichip and where they are headed with it and how the Word of God warned us of that. Jesus already told us we would be persucuted and taken to courts...so yes people should prepare theirselves for some hard trials ahead.

What are the laws written on the hearts and minds of believers under the new covenant? This was prophesied by Jeremiah. If you say "Love," you're correct. But how is love defined? You have to look to the biblical definition of what it means to love. And the 10 commandments are said to be a summary of the two great commandments: Love the Lord, and love your neighbor as yourself.

This blog is from the Seventh Day Aventist Church. They put unnecessary emphasis on the "real" sabbath. Paul says in Galatians that if righteousness comes by the LAW, then Christ died in vane. (2:21). The sabbath is a part of the LAW. If you're under the LAW then you are under a curse!!!
Watch out true believers, this is a cult. Pray for this church.

Paul says Romans 7 that his "law is holy, just and good". He explains clearly in verse 7 "What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "Do not covet." John writes in 1Jo 3:4 "Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness." It is clear that the 10 commandments are not a curse.

The law is glorious, no doubt about it. What people DON'T realize (esp sda's)is it's function. To show us what sin is,To INCREASE the trespass, to brings us to JESUS. Once you've accepted HIM, the law is obsolete for the believer. Countless scpripture to back it.

I'm sure SDA's are sincere in their belief, but they're sincerely wrong. It is for freedom that the Son has set you free and the law is NOT of faith (Galatians 3). 1 Cor 15:56 the sting of DEATH is SIN, AND (now get this!) the strength of sin is the LAW. Again, under the law? under a curse

Okay, here's how it works. Col 1:27. The believer possesses the Holy Spirit. If you're trusting Him, is He going to sin? Until you really understand the you DIED with Jesus on Calvary (Gal 2:20) it's almost certain that you're living in the energy of the flesh. Whatever is not of faith is SIN. Living by the LAW is not of faith because it's about YOU, not Jesus. If you're living by the LAW you're living in SIN.

It says 180 times in the New Testament that we are "IN CHRIST" Jesus is the fulfillment of the LAW and we are in HIM. He is the fulfillment of the LAW. IT IS FINISHED--ALL OF IT. Hebrews 4, unless we CEASE from our works, we can not enter HIS rest. People like Batchelor, Ellen G White, etc are wrong. Don't let the present day Legalists come in and dilute the pure gospel like they did in Galatia. Only Jesus can live the Christian Life.

That's about all I can say on the issue. Just remember Jesus talking about the wineskins, it's about mixing LAW and GRACE. You'll lose the value of the two. The believer is ALREADY as righteous as Jesus. It's a gift. 2 Cor 5:21

To be legalist one tries to keep the law on his own. Jesus gives us the holy ghost in that he fulfills the law IN US which causes us to KEEP his law by his love and mercy. You don't see someone saying "Jesus is within me" then go and sins. You miss the whole point of how he fulfills the law. The devil tried to decieve Eve by questioning what God has said. He is doing so even today. The bible has NEVER said it abolished the "perfect law of God".

Sorry but you are sadly mistaken. What does fulfill mean to you? Christ FULFILLS the law. That in no way means he abolishes it or it's done away with. Jesus said in Mat 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."
Please do not contradict what Jesus says on this matter. He CLEARLY says he has not come to ABOLISH (what you claim) but to fulfill. The bible makes no mistake on this topic.

The bible never claims the laws to be obsolete. What the bible says is obsolete was the old covenant that when God spoke everyone said "all that the lord has said WE will do"Exd 24:3. That is also why the bible said that covenant was "faulty" because they relied on their own strengh and not of God's.

Please do not give a new definition to the word sin. The bible says in 1Jhn 3:4 that "...sin is lawlessness." How do you misunderstand that? I can't believe you try to twist scripture to make it sound otherwise. SDA's are known for there in-depth study of biblical truths. I urge you to please study the matter more deeply because you're contradicting the bible. I will pray for you.

What David Koresh did had nothing to do with SDAs. He was part of a group called Sheperd's Rod and Branch Davidians. I would suggest you read about that before commenting.

Wow you really misunderstand. Read all of Romans 7 so Paul could help clear it up for you. Paul keeps the law and tells us it is to SHOW US our sins so that we would see the need for our savior Jesus Christ. The law that is not to be kept in which Paul talks about is the Ceremonial Laws. We obviously don't do that anymore but now the devil is trying to use that to take away God's law. If what you say is true then Jesus lied when he said he had not come to "abolish but to fulfill".

Paul keeps the law? "I do the things I don't want to and that which I don't want to do, that I do". I don't remembering anything in Romans 7 (or anywhere else in the book) where it specified "ceremonial" law.

You misread what I say just like how you misread the bible. I never said in Romans 7 Paul talks about Ceremonial laws. He does however talks about it in Col.2 and in Galations. These are "a shadow of things to come". Paul says it was nailed to the cross but because he uses the word Sabbath people get confused and use it to mean God's Sabbath day. Remember there are many ceremonial sabbaths stated in Leviticus. Please read more about ceremonial laws.

Yes that's exactly right BUT the law is not obsolete. That's where you're wrong and no there is no scripture to back it. Your opinion clashes with what Paul talks about. He thanks God for the law and tells us in detail how the spirit helps keep it within us that we might not sin. The holy spirit CONVICTS you of what you're doing is WRONG if you kill someone, lie, etc. They all go hand and hand.

Exactly I know the aegument without wathcing the vids. Thanks to many evangelicals most of the populations feeel that all Christian branches believe in this non sense called the rapture. This is not true Catholice, Orthodox, and many major Protestants do not believe in this "escape". This about it the Bible says Christ came, died, rose from the dead, and assended into Heaven. It also says He will come back again to judge the living and the dead.

Matthew 22:36-40 is reffering to the ten commandments.. they are a summary!
"Love the lord w/ all your heart" is talking about the first 4 commandments.. the first 4 commandments talk about God. Verse 39 and 40 talk about neigbors.. ie. (humans) commandments 5 to 10 talk about your relationship with neighbor/humans
