So where do you show any proof of gas being stolen? Pep Boys doesnt even have gas tanks in the shop to keep any gas, and they rarely have any time to take any, and you can usually sit and watch your car being worked on. Not very good reporting I must say.

1: Get a locking gas cap and keep the key on you so they can't steal the gas.
2: When you drop off the car, only give them the spare ignition/door key.
3: Remove the registration and insurance cards from the glovebox and keep them in your wallet.
4: Remove CD case and leave it at home.
Basically, don't leave anything valuable in the car, or anything with your name and address on it. When giving your info, use a P.O. Box, not your street address, otherwise they'll send you junk mail!
This ant right, I'm a master auto tech at pep boys and i been there 12 years and never seen anyone do this!!!!! PS The only time you might loss some gas is if a shop has to do a fuel pump or filter because it has to be drained from the tank and gas evaporate's in the presents of air!
@DAQUAN88 Master tech at Pep Boy's?-huh i wouldn't brag about that. Try a professional place like a dealership, I work at Quality Chevrolet in Esconido California and have had to fix dozens of Pep Boys fuck ups done by their "master techs".

To be honest, you cant compare WHERE you work. its really the experience of the Tech. I can say i fix all dealerships fuck ups and vice versa but that doesnt mean its true. here in Bulgaria, we pay around dollar and a half for 1L gas... And you complain about your gas prices??? In the past, we used to pay above 2 dollars for 1L... And still nobody turned to steal gas...
