omg this was the most incredible movie ive ever seen. most incredible and beautiful family, this documentary will stay with me for the rest of my life. incredible!!
@jd4u09 I met Susan and her red-haired daughter without the legs (sorry, I forgot her name) at a screening of the movie. @newfful is right about the home and Anthony. Susan says that her children never want to move out of the house, because everything is designed perfectly for them and their individual needs. She has moved into a trailer in the yard so she can have some privacy, because all the children are adults now, except for Faith, who is seventeen. They're all doing very well!
yeah okay it's great she did this... but couldn't she have just taken 4 kids maybe there wouldn't have been so much drama. She probably hasn't slept a full night in 10 years.
This documentary is a profound testemony to the strength of the human spirit! I'm speechless... my problems aren't shit. Susan, you are an earth angel.. thank-you for reminding me that we are ALL angels in human form. Thanks for inspiring me.. and I hope a beautiful man watches your documentary, and falls in love with you and treats you like the Queen you are. Much love ((Hugs))
OMFG I hate the biological parents..I mean...you should not give away your kides just because they have some difficulties or health problems. That's why you're a parent!!! You don't just walk away and appear for birthdays or once-twice a year. That sucks ! These kids are gorgeous and beautiful, loving and amazing and the biological paretns are cowards :(
@BodyartCat On the other hand, if you know someone else would be a much better parent than you, giving your child up for adoption might actually be a responsible thing to do.
Faith Tom is the sweetest person. After seeing her on extreme makeover I realized it is very important to treat everyone how you wish to be treated. I wish her all the best.
@bigdb14 i went to school wiht faith tom..she was in my second grade class NO LIE..and she is a sweet person..she was one of my closest friends..hella people where so mean to her :(..but she is a strong person...
I bought this movie right after renting it from Netflix. As an adoptive mom myself, I felt a kindred spirit with Susan Tom and have profound respect for her life's work. This is a MUST SEE for those who love children and are considering adoption!
Just saw this documentary. I was just glued to the screen. What an amazing film and family. Hard to hold back the tears.

@jd4u09 I heard Anthony Tom died and they had a major home make-over. But thus far I haven't found my info on them or how they're doing.

I'll fucking adopt 5,000 if I have to. I can't stand to see children being thrown to the side like trash.

Terrific show. I will never forget it. In this increasingly shallow and superficial world this family is truly beautiful and valuable beyond compare.

I can not wait until I'm older and in a stable enough position to adopt kids. Although, I won't be adopting 11!
