Switch to create mode, give yourself an eye of the ender, rightclick to throw it, follow it's path until it stops moving, and throw another, eventually it will go straight down. Dig down and find the alter. place the eyes inside the open spots, then jump into the portal.

And then figure the rest out yourself....
